PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Coordinate plant construction activities as required for installation of new plant equipment or modification to existing equipment. The construction coordination may involve maintenance personnel, production personnel, and/or outside contractors. The Project Engineer will coordinate meetings as needed with the personnel who requested or will be affected by the new or modified equipment. Before the installation or modification of the equipment the Project Engineer may request quotations, develop installation schedules, and assist with fabrication details. This position must also ensure that the maintenance or construction personnel have accurate reference materials to install all equipment conduit, wiring, control desks, MCC’s switch gears, etc. required for a successful electrical outage.
The major challenge of this position is to ensure that equipment purchases and designs are durable, economical, and easy to fabricate and install. Installation or modification of equipment is to be accomplished with the minimum amount of outage duration and be on or below the approved budget.
The Project Engineer job functions may involve high and low-voltage distribution systems and equipment, AC & DC drive systems, instrumentation and control, programmable logic and computer control, and electrical machinery. Within these areas, work may include design specification, purchasing, supervision of construction and installation, commission, and troubleshooting of new or modified equipment.
Assist the Environmental Engineer, Sr. Project Engineer, and or Engineering Manager with miscellaneous environmental and engineering activities.
Some work items may require the services of outside engineering consultants. In this case, this position will be involved in establishing design objectives, prepare engineering bid specifications, and competitively bid the work. After receiving approval to perform the work the engineer will coordinate and monitor activities of the consultant to ensure equipment compatibility with the departments which will operate and maintain the new equipment.
Maintain equipment files and resource materials such as drawings, instruction manuals, test data, design criteria, and specifications. These materials are to be organized to facilitate their use for three key purposes: as a maintenance aid, as a basis for equipment performance evaluation, and as a reference for new design and installation. These resources are to be made available to maintenance personnel to maximize their value in troubleshooting, operations, and preventive maintenance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5-6 years’ experience working in an industrial/manufacturing/construction environment
- Experience with Allen Bradley control systems
- Experience with WonderWare systems preferred
- Experience with industrial automation troubleshooting and repair preferred
- Willingness to travel, including internationally
- Strong background in mechanical systems is preferred
- Steel mill experience – preferred, but not required
- Leadership skills - ability to manage construction vendors and contractors
- Strong interpersonal skills with the workforce, contractors, and engineering leadership team.
- Ability to manage projects and project paperwork.
- Project management on Industrial Construction Projects is a plus.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office including Microsoft Project.
- Electrical power distribution experience a plus
- Auto CAD experience preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work with diverse populations and communication styles.
- Strong organizational skills are key in this position. Must have the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and multi-task to be successful.
- Ability to independently make accurate decisions and demonstrate good judgment.

Qualifications Required:

Your Purpose:
As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for the oversight, contribution to, and support all the trainings and development activities for employees at the mill. You will be responsible for CAPEX projects and compiling and analyzing project data with a moderate scope of responsibility for material manufacturing processes as well as the equipment utilized in the manufacturing process.
Your Work:
- Maintain goal and project data bases. Perform trend analysis on the performance data as well as identify commonalities within the data.

Gerdau is looking for an experienced Electrician to undertake a variety of tasks related to the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical equipment. This would include but is not limited to communication systems, various mill and production equipment, electronic computing and controls systems, power and distribution control devices, gauges, and instrumentation.
Duties & Responsibilities
Analyze all types of circuits, wiring diagrams and drawings as required to install and maintain electrical and electronic devices and systems.
Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or replace faulty parts and wiring on all types of equipment.
Perform inspection and repairs on all electric brakes including those used on cranes. Perform preventive maintenance on electrical, instrument, controls devices and equipment.
Start up and shut down various types of plant equipment.
Document all work performed on Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS.)
Perform all other plant electrical maintenance as required.
This person should be familiar with:
Motor Controls –maintain, troubleshoot, and replace starters and VFD’s or DC drives.
Programmable logic controllers - read schematics and use PLC indication lights to find which I/O is present.
Communication Systems – install new and make repairs to existing communication systems. Run and hook up communication cabling (Profibus, ControlNet, RS232, R-Net, Dec-Net, Ether-Net, PLC remote drops, etc.). Job Duties:

Your Purpose:

- Engage and disengage track switches to switch cars for loading, unloading, making up or breaking up of trains.
- Manually knuckle and un-knuckle rail cars, climb on and off rail cars, and assist in re-railing derailed rail cars.
- Operate scale system via computer and maintain weigh-ticket files while checking for accuracy of scale and related systems.
- Perform a visual inspection of vendor scrap to confirm grades of different types of raw materials and inspect each load for non-conformities.
- Monitor weigh-tickets for accuracy of inventory movement charge numbers.
- Maintain communication with the locomotive operator by radio and hand signals.
- Safety for Rail Contractors making on-site repairs.
- Spot, determine areas of concern on track, gauging issues, broken track, frogs, etc.
- Cleaning and repairing of switches (shimming, butterflies, etc.)
- Repair of run-through switches.
- Maintain awareness of surroundings and activity.

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Roll Shop Supervisor, this position's main focus will be to set up and operate a computer numerically controlled lathe to machine all types of new and used rolls to finished size and contour for all sections rolled in the Mill.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plans working procedures from instructions, prints, computer programs, and work orders
- Slings rolls and places them in a lathe using a crane
- Centers and fastens roll in the lathe
- Barrels new rolls
- Selects and profiles cutting tools for the job in accordance with hardness, machinability, desired contour, and surface of the roll to be turned and set up in the tool holder
- Sets up and operates CNC lathe to turn any type of roll to finished size within close tolerances
- Selects and adjusts speeds and feeds for material to be cut
- Turns rolls to specifications and intermittently checks dimensions for compliance using a protractor, calipers, micrometers, rulers, straights edge, pass templates, and thickness gauges.
- Observes turning of roll, interrupts upon deviation from specifications, and corrects minor errors in a computer program by manually overriding computer
- Operates lathe manually to complete finishing of the roll such as taking out points, blending radii, and using plugs
- Operates milling machine to cut deformations in rolls
- Operates electric discharge machine (EDM) to brand rolls
- Inspects and lubricate equipment
Additional Responsibilities:
- Follow all PPE requirements and safety rules and guidelines for all tasks being performed.
- Responsible for training other personnel on electrical systems, PLC’s, networks, process changes, etc.

Job Summary:
Primarily responsible for maintaining and stocking consumables for the Furnace or Caster, general housekeeping duties (includes 5S and cleaning), assisting other furnace operators as needed and may be responsible for collecting and running slag samples.

Job Summary:
This is an entry level position for the Solar Pile fabrication facility. The incumbent will be responsible for painting finished product according to standards and general material handling. Will also perform general utility functions to assist operators, maintenance, and leadership as needed.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for painting finished product according to customer specifications using paint sprayers and/or brushes. This includes proper preparation of the paint and painting equipment and maintaining the paint area in an organized and clean manner.
- Upon completion of painting, incumbent will be responsible to ensure the product is tagged correctly for proper placement in the inventory yard.
- Assist with inventory management by accurately identifying and counting bundles and validating the physical location of materials.
- Efficiently and safely operate overhead cranes and forklifts, including the completion of required pre-use inspections.
- Assists forklift drivers with cutting banding or tags, scanning bundles, and handling dunnage.
- Safely handles the movement of materials (crop cuts, dunnage, scrap, slugs, et) in the production facility and outside work areas for efficient access and/or appropriate disposal. This includes emptying scrap buckets and restocking materials as needed.
- Perform quality checks to ensure customers receive prime material that meets their specification and expectations. Visual inspections include but are not limited to: ensuring proper paint color, squareness, length, appropriate hole cuts, saw cuts, and bar quality.
- Responsible for the tagging function which includes refilling tags at the tagging robot and manually tagging product as needed.
- Assists team members with the rework process following established guidelines.

Your Purpose:
You will be responsible for some duties primarily servicing the ladle metallurgy station, the casting machine billet run-out area, ladles, electric arc furnace, and the brick crew operations.
Your Work:
- Will involve simple routine tasks and physical in nature, requiring some care to safely use heavy tools in digging out ladles, shoveling materials, taking temperatures, and obtaining samples at the Ladle Metalurgical Station (LMS), and when operating the forklift and bobcat.
- Will assist LMS Operator when making alloy and slag additions, taking temperature, and assisting with lancing heats.
- Will assist the brick crew with removing refractories from used ladles, tundishes, etc. using heavy pry bars and pneumatic tools, shovel, and dump out brick and slag refuse.
- Will assist in cleaning furnace and surrounding pit area, ladle car track area, tilt cylinders, casting spray changer, and billet run-out area during downtime using hand tools such as a shovel, picks, crowbar, cutting torch, and broom.
- Will assist in hooking up, setting and unhooking ladles, materials, etc. in conjunction with the crane.
- Will assist casting crew with torch cutting scrap billets when necessary.
- Will assist the operator of the track mobile in switching scrap into the stock house.
- Will assist furnace crew, ladle crew, and casting crew as necessary, cross-training in other melt shop jobs, and performing other duties and assignments as required and directed.
- Will inspect and report faulty material, environmental hazards, and/ or improper operation of plant equipment or machinery; refer questionable and unusual matters to proper supervision.

Job Summary:
Move finished product from rolling mill to staging area for outbound shipments with the use of mobile or material handling equipment. Assist in a variety of functions related to the Logistics Department including inventory and quality checks.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Your Role:

Your Responsibilities:
Railcar Utilization, Supply & Planning
· Lead the efficient allocation, tracking, and utilization of railcars across U.S. and Canadian facilities.
· Manage the full supply of railcars needed for logistics, coordinating with railroads for railcar supply and working with customers to ensure private cars are returned promptly.
Collaborate closely with the Commercial team to ensure railcar availability aligns with customer demand and delivery schedules.

BASIC FUNCTION (Primary Purpose):
This jobs primary function is to build relationships with customers and help support the sale of Gerdau product(s) to our customers (i.e., revenue generation)
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
- 70% Establish rapport, trust and strong relationships with customers via face to face meetings (in person); representing Gerdau as a company and understanding their business needs and how Gerdau can help meet those needs with our products and offerings. Job Description
Perform in both a quality assurance and EMT role within the plant. Quality assurance functions include performing the chemical analysis of heat samples and physical testing of various steel mill rolled products. Maintain and operate spectrograph and related equipment to access chemical composition of heats. Maintain and operate tensile test machine and bending test apparatus to check conformity of rolled products to specification physical requirements. Responsible for grade and size tractability throughout production process. Record, verify and submit test results to supervisor. EMT functions include responding to employee requests/need for first aid treatment, assessing the need and providing appropriate care within limits of approved & established practices. Maintain first aid log, report all treatment administered, accompany employee as needed when seeking further medical attention. Participate in continued education to maintain EMT license.

Duties & Responsibilities

Your Purpose:

Job Summary:
This position monitors and assists in controlling incoming and outgoing vehicles, shipments and containers through use scale and software systems. All activity must be accounted for and accurately documented on scale tickets, bills of lading, purchase orders and packing slips, etc.
Nature and Scope:
Directly reporting to the Division Manager, the Scale Operator must regularly communicate with dispatch personnel and other scale operators to assist with company vehicle traffic and all incoming and outgoing yard traffic. This position interacts frequently with yard operations including but not limited to emergency contact for yard operations, material receiving personnel, internal and external drivers as well as management, sales and I.T. personnel.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Enthusiastic greeting of customers and ascertain material grade including all necessary paperwork needed to safely direct all incoming loads to the proper locations throughout the facility.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all inbound and outbound scale transactions by weighing of all customers vehicles, carriers, and company vehicles on main scale. Record supplier, truck or car identification, contract number (if appropriate), description and grade of material, gross, tare and net weights, and discharge location of the load. This includes accurate recording of load deductions (non-conforming material), re-pricing as directed by Buyers, printing and distributing scale tickets as required.
- Maintain daily records of all purchases and sales transactions including proper assignment of purchase and sales order numbers to inbound and outbound material.
- Process scale payments including processing payment adjustments; contact the Buyer to adjust or add in contracts; remove temporary pricing, address and mail out payments as per customer request, fax scale tickets to customers as per their request.
- Create issue and submit cheques to the proper signing authority with proper back up documentation and distribute as requested.
- Issue cash payments for customers that require immediate payment.
- Must be able to manage difficult customer situations effectively and professionally.
- Answer main telephone line and redirect all calls accordingly.
- Constantly maintain radio contact with the appropriate yard personnel including and being aware of Emergency calls and proper handling of different types of situations.

Job Summary:
Plan, lay out, and perform all operations required to install, troubleshoot, repair, construct, modify, calibrate, test, service, and program highly complex equipment in support of steel production operation and related plant facilities. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic controls and systems, using required knowledge and understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, fluidic, and electrical systems/components, as well as how they operate.
- Perform rounds and check machinery to identify abnormalities and ensure that machine functions are operating within the normal specifications.
- Exercise judgement when troubleshooting AC/DC motor controls, PLC, electrical drives, and all high-voltage systems at or below 480 volts.

Your Purpose:

- Operate a forklift to transfer finished products from the production line and secure with steel banding or shrink-wrap material to palletize product for shipment.

Job Summary:

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receives instructions covering the scheduled and emergency repairs, installation and inspection work to be done.
- Inspects equipment for defects such as misalignment, wear, insufficient lubrication.
- Finds the best way of making repairs to minimize interruption of production.
- Advises when immediate shut down of equipment is necessary to minimize damage or when temporary continued operation would have no harmful effect.

Job Summary:
The Yard Operator has a variety of duties and a broad skill set that makes this position an important part of operational needs. The Yard Operator requires knowledge of scrap grading, or have the ability to learn. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

- Ensure that all incoming scrap is scanned for radiation and that all material that fails the scan is quarantined and the appropriate personnel are notified.
- Operate the loader and/or the material handler to assist in loading and unloading scrap material, while following the quality standards of Gerdau and the customer.
- Ensure that all incoming scrap inspected against quality, and environmental standards and appropriate deductions and downgrades are applied. Communicate findings with the scale in a timely manner.
- Inspect and verify scrap for grade and quality. Identify deductions and downgrades.
- Ensure that all outbound materials meets safety and quality standards.
- Perform and document daily Routine Equipment Care (REC).
- Detect and report faulty material, environmental hazards, safety, and/or improper operation of plant equipment or machinery; refer questionable and unusual matters to proper supervision. Maintain work area and equipment in a clear and orderly fashion.

BASIC FUNCTIONS:
The Treasury Operations Manager’s primary responsibility is to assist the Director of Finance and senior leadership on managing the Company’s treasury operations and property and casualty insurance programs. Below is further detail on these areas.

A master’s degree is strongly preferred and additional years in education can be substituted for years of work experience (i.e., a master’s degree plus 5 years of relevant work experience). A financial/accounting certification is desirable (CPA, CFA). A high degree of professionalism is required due to confidentiality of data involved.

Scrap Inspector I - Mr

Job Summary:
Receive, process and visually inspect incoming scrap with the ability to determine the grade in accordance with established procedures and specifications.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Verify and document supplier’s contents by visually inspecting load against the weight ticket obtained from the supplier. Apply knowledge of the different types of scrap in order to accept, downgrade, or reject the load as needed. Responsible for documenting any non-conforming material.
- Manually remove or signal crane operator to remove pieces of unwanted material. Attach the weight of any non-conforming material to each ticket to ensure proper deductions.
- Identify any environmental or safety issues (e.g., gas tanks, enclosed cylinders, batteries, stored energy sources in the load, etc.) and ensure proper disposal.
- Use portable scanner to process the supplier’s load, entering the contents of the load into the SAP computer system while ensuring the data is accurately entered for inventory control purposes.
- Communicate with crane operators and direct traffic to the correct location to be unloaded while being mindful of traffic flow.
- Responsible for ensuring all truck drivers follow company guidelines and procedures.
- Use the hand held Radiation Detector as needed to inspect loads.

Job Summary:
This is an entry level position for the Solar Pile fabrication facility. This position is responsible for loading, unloading, and transporting of materials to designated locations throughout the Solar Pile Fabrication facility using heavy industrial forklifts or other mobile equipment. Incumbent will be responsible for inspecting incoming material for bar quality and loading/unloading the process conveyor lines to ensure production runs smoothly and efficiently.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Must be capable of safely operating large forklifts, overhead cranes, and other mobile equipment to move material in the solar pile fabrication process. This includes completion of all required pre-use inspections, routine equipment care, and optimizing movement of material for operational efficiency.
- Accurately follow the production schedule and load conveyor systems with the correct steel product at the infeed.
- General material handling which includes offloading mill material, loading material onto the infeed table, offloading finished product at the outfeed table, and general movement of inventory and/or materials inside and outside the shop.
- Maintain accurate production records which may require completion of paper forms or checklists, the use of scanning guns, tablets, computers, et.
- Assists with inventory management which includes, but is not limited to, accurately identifying and counting bundles, validating the physical location of materials, restocking materials, et.
- Assists team members with the rework process following established guidelines.
- Perform quality checks to ensure customers receive prime material that meets their specification and expectations. Visual inspections include but are not limited to: ensuring proper paint color, squareness, length, saw cuts, and overall bar quality.

Additional Responsibilities:
- This position will be required to work some overtime, including nights, weekends, and holidays depending on production goals.

Job Summary:

You will serve in an advisory capacity to support and coordinate the Asset Reliability Maintenance Management for scheduled and project maintenance to improve equipment reliability. This position does not have direct reports but will facilitate down-days and outages by establishing planned work with operations, maintenance, reliability, and engineering. You will work with Equipment Area Sponsors and Supervisors, coordinates the work identification and scheduling for run time, down-days and outages. You will have direct responsibility for assisting Area Sponsors with planning proactive maintenance and project work on all equipment at their assigned location(s) as well as scheduling run time and down day work. You will also be working with reliability technicians, reliability engineers, mill operations, maintenance personnel and suppliers.
You will provide coordination, direction and support for implementing and sustaining Asset Reliability Processes (ARP) to improve safety, equipment reliability, and product quality at optimum efficiency and costs by:
