You Have:
- Maintenance testing is administered for baseline results.

Your Purpose:
You will support commercial practices based on established policies to ensure fair, ethical, and productive relationships with suppliers. The primary function of this position is the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services to support Gerdau’s production plans in the designated region and commodity/category. Your Work:

Job Summary:
Operate mobile crane, magnet crane, mobile shear, and stationary shear to process scrap materials, load/unload scrap from trucks or railcars, and move scrap from one area to another.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspects mobile shear, magnet crane, and stationary shear daily and documents on checklists to ensure equipment is maintained and in proper working order.
- Performs preventive maintenance such as lubrication, greasing, fueling, and keeping cab clean.

- Will operate radio pendant overhead crane and forklift to assist in material movement or housekeeping activities.

- Perform other auxiliary duties to include staging parts and equipment such as straightener rolls, guides, etc., for changeovers and assisting finishing crew in completing changeover activities.
- Assist maintenance personnel and operators in other preventive and breakdown maintenance, removing and cutting cobbles.
- Prepare and attach identification tags, tie off heat and lot run ends, and occasionally count bundle pieces.
- Prepare accurate simple add and subtraction hand-held measuring tools.

- Collect and review for accuracy previous shifts’ production report; calculate tonnage produced and forward copies and original to appropriate personnel or departments.
- Using hand tools and pry bars, remove bent, damaged, and shortened pieces from machines, conveyor system, transfer tables/ beds, and finished bundles.
- Manually stack and band products as directed.
- Detect and report faulty material, environmental hazards, and/ or improper operation of plant equipment or machinery; refer questionable and unusual matters to proper supervision. Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion. Follow all safety regulations and practices.

Your Purpose:

Your Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.

Job Summary:
Move finished product from rolling mill to staging area for outbound shipments with the use of mobile or material handling equipment. Assist in a variety of functions related to the Logistics Department including inventory and quality checks.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of tasks, which are routine in nature, and which require exercising care in the operation of mobile equipment, handling materials safely, and loading appropriate products in designated areas.

Your Qualifications:
- AAS in industrial maintenance and maintenance reliability certifications are preferred
- 3 to 5 years of heavy industrial mechanical maintenance experience.
- Experience working in an industrial environment in a position containing a routine maintenance component
- Ability to work in heights up to 150 ft.
- Ability to work a rotating 12 hr shift, days, nights, and two weekends a month (Dupont 4/3 schedule)

Your Purpose:
You will perform facilities maintenance necessary to keep plant, equipment, machinery, and tools in good operating condition. Work involves a wide range of methods and procedures on a variety of routine and non-routine duties to adequately and properly diagnose, dismantle, repair, lubricate, and reassemble equipment. You will troubleshoot basic mechanical assemblies to determine whether a pump, gearbox, hydraulic system or pneumatic system can be repaired or needs to be replaced, whether to replace or repair worn parts, and amount of lubrication needed.
Your Work:
- Use drawings, sketches, wiring diagrams, machine operation and maintenance manuals, work order requests, and oral instructions to install, adjust, repair, and perform assigned maintenance duties.
- Position, fit and weld components to assemble structural forms, machinery frames, plant equipment, attachments or accessories, and building parts according to blueprints or knowledge of structural and metal characteristics utilizing various specialty cutting and welding equipment.
- Troubleshoot and service pumps, gear boxes, motors, cranes, and hydraulic, and pneumatic systems as needed at an intermediate level.
- Periodically inspect conditions of plant operating machines and equipment for preventative maintenance purposes. Inspect and perform routine equipment care on all shop machinery, mobile equipment, and cranes.
- Tear down, replace, repair, install, and assemble simple equipment parts, components, and accessories.
- Cut, bend, and thread conduit, pipe, and tubing.
- Maintain specified records of work performed, details of repairs, and material usage.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to climb stairs, climb ladders, reach, squat, tolerate prolonged standing/walking, balance, bend, operate mobile equipment, crawl, kneel, and push and pull objects.

BASIC FUNCTION (Primary Purpose):
The Security Guard EMT ensures the safety of all people and property at the location by monitoring traffic into and out of the location, and by performing other related responsibilities that contribute to the location’s safety. In the event of emergencies, this role responds to and provides appropriate treatment and transportation assistance to ensure the safety of sick or injured people at the location.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
•Administer first-aid treatment to sick or injured persons and transport to medical facility if necessary.
•Removes or assists in removal of injured persons from scene of accident.
•Communicates with professional medical personnel regarding treatment and handling of sick or injured people.
•Completes and maintains all necessary records, forms, logs and paperwork required for services provided.

Scope (brief description):

The Role:
Perform various tasks pertaining to the routine of the Production and Maintenance Department’s Employee scheduling and vacation, overtime calling and record keeping, among other tasks.
Key Responsibilities:

Your Work:

This job reports directly to the Safety Manager. BASIC FUNCTION:
Reliability Engineer I will provide technical coordination and support for implementing and sustaining Asset Reliability Processes (ARP) to improve safety, equipment reliability, and product quality at optimum efficiency and costs by:
a) Detect potential failures using predictive technologies.
b) Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data.
c) Study operations and failures to lower costs and improve equipment reliability and energy efficiency.

NATURE AND SCOPE:
Reliability Engineer I is primarily responsible for increasing asset availability through the utilization of ARP reliability tools, methods, and practices. Activities require engineering and/or maintenance based experience in mechanical and/or electrical equipment, preferably those used in steel manufacturing processes and facilities. This position will participate in special projects and engineering activities to improve equipment reliability optimize maintenance costs and reduce equipment downtime. The Reliability Engineering I will participate in annual outage planning processes to minimize downtime and ensure all maintenance performance will achieve equipment reliability. Due to the nature of manufacturing operations the incumbent may be required to be on-call, and must be available for specific operations or projects. Some travel may be required for training and to support projects.
Qualifications for this position include a four-year college degree in Engineering or Material Science, combined with up to 2 years of industrial experience. The candidate must demonstrate knowledge of asset reliability technology and systems, with a working knowledge of heavy manufacturing. The incumbent should also possess a basic knowledge of engineering concepts, and techniques. The Reliability Engineer I reports to the Reliability Engineer IV or Reliability Engineer V. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining the maintenance manuals, standard maintenance operating procedures, CMMS, equipment reliability databases, and other maintenance related software systems. The incumbent will organize and conduct training programs for the maintenance personnel regarding equipment testing and operation, new software, methodologies, and procedures. The Reliability Engineer I will participate in routine safety and ARP activities including inspections, audits, visibility tours, and interact with employees and contractors. This job is responsible for analyzing equipment repair history, costs, and repetitive repairs to develop and implement proactive repair planning. The incumbent will conduct non-intrusive inspections. The use of Predictive Maintenance (PdM) techniques or other ARP tools to maximize equipment life and performance is required. This position is responsible for maintaining and updating documentation, such as equipment descriptions, job plans, spare parts, equipment lists, histories, manuals, flow charts, drawings, and specifications. NATURE AND SCOPE:
This position is primarily responsible for the procurement of retail scrap in an economical and efficient manner. This position will be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective relations with available suppliers including active solicitation of new supply sources, within assigned region. The supplier base will include both established retail processors as well as suppliers whose business is conducted on a direct basis at the retail buying facilities as established at Gerdau Yard divisions.
This position reports directly to the Raw Materials Purchasing Manager and has a functional reporting relationship to the Southeast Commercial and Operations Manager. The incumbent will coordinate activities with other procurement personnel, Transportation, and mill and yard scrap inspection and accounting personnel.
Qualifications for this position include a minimum of three to five years experience in the buying, melting or receiving of steel scrap or similar work experience at an exempt level. In addition, incumbent should possess knowledge of sources and grades of raw materials, along with some knowledge of transportation issues and scrap yard operations.
The incumbent must be a self-starter with the ability to initiate business and must possess strong negotiating, communication, math and problem-solving skills. A key responsibility will be to provide information to other members of the raw materials procurement team. The incumbent will procure retail scrap based on the specific terms of purchase contracts within established policies and procedures, verify purchase order details, and document vendor performance.
Incumbent will work closely with Transportation to keep them informed of new methods of shipment and carriers that may help minimize overall scrap costs. The incumbent will also keep plant and corporate management abreast of changing market conditions.
This position will provide commercial information used in analyzing melting and inventory requirements. Incumbent must remain aware of any changes in melting schedules or blends that will impact scrap requirements and will assist the Raw Materials Purchasing Manager in taking appropriate remedial steps needed to support operations in response to changing market conditions. The incumbent must be familiar with basic melting requirements at the mill in order to know the effect of different grades of scrap, relative to billet chemistry specifications.

Job Summary:
Operates heavy mobile equipment specific to an operating area (Shredder or Retail II) to include a mobile crane with a hydraulic grapple or mobile shear to load, unload, process and handle all scrap material received. Unload shreddable material from incoming trucks and load scrap from existing piles onto the Shredder infeed conveyor. Utilize the mobile shear to process and cut oversized scrap. Directly responsible for maximizing productivity of Shredder and Retail II Operations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for safely operating mobile equipment to include hydraulic grapple crane, mobile shear, magnet crane, and all other mobile equipment.
- Duties involve prompt attention and service to avoid delays. Requires the use of judgment to plan, perform, and make decisions as to the sequence of material movement and handling procedures required to service the Shredder in a timely and efficient manner.
- Exercises extreme care in picking up and transporting loads, clearing obstacles and properly positioning lifts to prevent swinging, production delays, and/or damage or injury to equipment or employees. Maintains heightened awareness of surroundings at all times to include pedestrians, mobile equipment, rail traffic, etc.
- Inspect scrap for any non-conforming material for quality, grade, and safety purposes. This inspection process is critical to the operation and requires constant attention in order to avoid downtime and equipment damage.
- Operate the shear to cut oversized material to an acceptable size to be sent directly to the Shedder and/or blend yard.
- Inspect shear head and associated equipment to ensure shear is in proper working order.
- Sort and separate scrap according to grade in order to properly maintain scrap piles for inventory control.
- Watch operation of surrounding conveyors and equipment, and communicate any problems to responsible personnel.
- Perform routine equipment care such as lubrication, greasing, fueling and cleaning of mobile equipment.

Your Purpose:

Job Summary:

The SAP and GRC Security Analyst II is a senior level technologist, under minimal supervision of the Sr Manager, Security or Manager, Security, functioning as an SAP security expert. Your Qualifications:

Your Work:

You Have:
- AAS in industrial maintenance and maintenance reliability certifications are preferred.

Your Purpose:
You will be the SME for the department in the field of hydraulics/pneumatics or gearboxes/drivetrains. You will perform maintenance necessary to keep plant, equipment, machinery, and tools in good operating condition. You will troubleshoot basic mechanical assemblies to evaluate whether a pump, gearbox, hydraulic system or pneumatic system can be repaired or needs to be replaced, whether to replace or repair worn parts, and amount of lubrication needed.
Your Work:
- Work from drawings, sketches, wiring diagrams, machine operation and maintenance manuals, work order requests, and oral instructions to install, adjust, repair, and perform assigned maintenance duties.
- Position, fit, and weld components to assemble structural forms, machinery frames, plant equipment, attachments or accessories, and building parts according to blueprints or knowledge of structural and metal characteristics. Utilize various specialty cutting and welding equipment.
- Troubleshoot and service pumps, gear boxes, motors, cranes, and hydraulic, and pneumatic systems as needed at an advanced level.

Job Summary:
Operates heavy mobile equipment specific to an operating area (Shredder or Retail II) to include a mobile crane with a hydraulic grapple or mobile shear to load, unload, process and handle all scrap material received. Unload shreddable material from incoming trucks and load scrap from existing piles onto the Shredder infeed conveyor. Utilize the mobile shear to process and cut oversized scrap. Directly responsible for maximizing productivity of Shredder and Retail II Operations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for safely operating mobile equipment to include hydraulic grapple crane, mobile shear, magnet crane, and all other mobile equipment.
- Duties involve prompt attention and service to avoid delays. Requires the use of judgment to plan, perform, and make decisions as to the sequence of material movement and handling procedures required to service the Shredder in a timely and efficient manner.
- Exercises extreme care in picking up and transporting loads, clearing obstacles and properly positioning lifts to prevent swinging, production delays, and/or damage or injury to equipment or employees. Maintains heightened awareness of surroundings at all times to include pedestrians, mobile equipment, rail traffic, etc.
- Inspect scrap for any non-conforming material for quality, grade, and safety purposes. This inspection process is critical to the operation and requires constant attention in order to avoid downtime and equipment damage.
- Operate the shear to cut oversized material to an acceptable size to be sent directly to the Shedder and/or blend yard.
- Inspect shear head and associated equipment to ensure shear is in proper working order.
- Sort and separate scrap according to grade in order to properly maintain scrap piles for inventory control.
- Watch operation of surrounding conveyors and equipment, and communicate any problems to responsible personnel.
- Perform routine equipment care such as lubrication, greasing, fueling and cleaning of mobile equipment.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Monitor all loads and material for potential fire hazards.
- Follows all PPE requirements and safety rules/guidelines for all tasks being performed.
- Maintains communication with coworkers through two-way radio and hand signals.

Primary: - Receives instructions covering the scheduled and emergency repair, installation and inspection work to be done.
- Inspects plant equipment for defects, such as misalignment, wear, insufficient lubrication, etc. Determines the best way of making repairs to minimize interruption of production. - Dismantles, cleans, repairs, replaces, installs, maintains, assemblies and lubricates mechanical equipment. Adjust equipment for proper repairs. Assemblies and aligns gears, bearings and shafts, involving the application of press, sliding and running fits.
- Performs all rigging as necessary.
- Operates machine tools, such as drill press, pipe threading machine, power saw, etc.
- Performs all mechanical repairs as required on cranes.
- Lay outs, installs, maintains and repairs all types of pipe lines, fittings, fixtures and pressure systems as required.
- Repairs leaks in hydraulic, air, gas or water system. Replaces straight sections of pipe that have sprung leaks. - Changes, set up and adjust equipment as required by current operating conditions.

- Document all work performed on Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Night shift position - 7pm - 7am (3 days on, 3 days off)
- Work involves routine tasks requiring the safe operation of forge equipment, forge checks at routine intervals, and routine quality checks to ensure finish products meet customer specifications.
- Performs forge start-up and shutdown procedures, which includes knowing the functions of lights and switches on forge control panel and platforms.
- Starts and adjusts vary-freq drives.
- Resets forge electrical breakers, oil system breaker, unscrambler breaker, and rounder breaker.
- Starts up all conveyors using proper start-up procedures.

Your Qualifications:

Your Purpose:
You will be responsible for the timely and cost-effective procurement mainly of internal and external services to support Gerdau’s production plans in the designated region and commodity/category. These activities include but are not limited to; supporting the strategic procurement process, execution of national, regional, and/or local supplier agreements to include team-based bid processes, negotiations, supplier selection/development, and contract management. Goals are met by implementing and maintaining effective relationships with current Commodity/Category suppliers as well as developing new supply sources within their designated area.
Your Work:
- Procure goods and services, prepare purchase orders and/or supply contracts within established policies and procedures, verify purchase order details, and document vendor performance.

Job Summary
The labourer is an entry level position, reflecting employees with no previous knowledge or experience related to scrap metals and recycling. The labourer must have the ability to learn and a strong work ethic. The labourer will assist in several aspects of daily operations such as scrap inspection, sortation, and general yard maintenance as directed.
Under the safety standards of Gerdau the laborer will learn to operate mobile equipment and perform general maintenance duties on machinery. The labourer must have strong communication skills and use them at all times to ensure safety among co-workers, truck drivers, peddlers, and contractors.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Follow all of the established Gerdau safety, environmental, and routine procedures specific to the yard
- Operate the fork-lift while progressing towards loader operation and material handler operation to assist in the loading, off-loading, and sorting of scrap materials
- Inspect incoming scrap against quality and environmental standards with a progression towards grading and purchasing scrap material
- Apply deductions to non-conforming materials through effective communication with the scale house or yard inspector
- Perform and document daily Routine Equipment Care (REC)
- Detect and report faulty tools, equipment, environmental hazards, and safety hazards to a supervisor
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion

General Function:
This position will assist the site Improvement Facilitators, Routine Facilitators, department superintendents, and plant management in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness within their area of responsibility. The major role of this job is to focus on Pass Design, Roll Design, Guide Design and interstand equipment design promoting continuous improvement and integration of improvement principles, technical and engineering principles, identifying best practices, consistent application of Continuous Improvement principles and act as a change agent to help achieve a higher level of results within the assigned location by utilizing and implementing improvement processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain goal and project data bases. Perform trend analysis on the performance data as well as identify commonalities within the data.
- Participate and contribute to the achievement of department goals including goal setting.
- Provide consulting services to the departments on improvement methodologies and tools. Revamp existing pass designs and associated new structures, systems, and equipment aiming process results improvement / business gains
- Facilitate training sessions for all employees on Pass Design Concepts utilizing improvement methodologies, tools, policies, practices, and processes.
- Develop and coach employees on capabilities and knowledge in the application of the Problem Solving methodology
- Collaborate with Routine Facilitators on subjects pertaining to the stability of the rolling process updating/creating improvement standards, CAPEX standards, audits, 5S initiatives, failure analysis, results management, QIS, FA, 6 Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.
- Participates in the Product recipe creation/modification process.
- Identify and solve chronic/repetitive pass design related problems and failures as well as reduce process variation.
- Assist with the development of the Annual Action Plan, and the administration of established policies, practices, and procedures.
- Prepare and approve standards from CAPEX and improvement initiatives.
- Prticipate, implement and coordinate CAPEX projects, and Annual Action Plan Improvement Projects.
- Oversee, contribute to, and support daily improvement management activities, which include providing timely and accurate cost estimates on proposed improvement efforts.
- Provide support in implementation, maintenance, and follow up on the vertical and horizontal help chain.
- Assist with all safety activities.
Qualifications for Position:
Qualifications for this position recommends a two year college degree in Engineering or Material Science combined with 3 to 5 years experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment with exposure to standardization and production quality methods. Incumbent must have a working knowledge of steel manufacturing methods and techniques involving the use of heavy mill machinery and related equipment. Previous qualifying experience in casting, rolling, roll shop, finishing and supervisory/facilitation is required. Successful candidate will demonstrate a good knowledge of the business system and the use of complex technical and engineering processes. Requires the ability to train people and serve as a coach to employees. The incumbent should possess solid presentation abilities combined with good interpersonal and organizational skills.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Good proficiency and capability for further advancement in the main areas of technical knowledge:
- Strong Math Skills;
- Internediate Microsoft Excel
- Drawing/simulation software proficiency (CAD, Inventor,...);
- Good understanding of FEA analysis Tools (Forge);
- Good understanding of Mill designs (stands, shears, interestand equipment) and guiding (Limited to his/her mill.

Overview
We are looking for a candidate who is driven and leads by example to run a productive workshop. This position requires an experienced leader who has solid communication skills to assign tasks, create daily work schedules, and follow up on performance.
Responsibilities
Oversee and direct 10-15 unionized skilled trades/apprentices
Manage equipment repair workflow in the Shop and in CMMS (SAP)
Collaborate with Area Supervisors to prioritize Shop work
Maintain Shop organization and cleanliness
Manage shop consumables and tools
Assist in technical challenges including diagnostics and parts support
Communicate job expectations, enforce systems, policies, and procedures
Lead, support, and assist fellow team members
Optimize productivity and efficiency within the Shop
Qualifications
Minimum of 1 year experience in a leadership/supervisory role in an industrial setting
Technologist OR Bachelor’s degree in Engineering OR Certified Tradesperson
Strong organizational skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Positive Attitude
Overtime work may be required
Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
