Requirements:

Job Summary
The Production Labourer (Utility Person) works primarily in the finishing end area of the Gerdau Rolling Mill. This person is responsible for ensuring quality steel bars are prepared and packaged to meet our customers’ needs.
Job Duties
• Handle, sort, stack and bundle finished products and scrap materials
• Inspect finished bar product during continuous processing
• Tag and inventory finished product using automated weighing and piece count systems
• Assist Machine Operators in equipment set-up and aid in troubleshooting
• Clean machines and immediate work areas
• Operate overhead cranes and forklift
• Communicate clearly over 2-way radio with Machine Operators
• Work independently and/or in a team setting with minimal supervision
• Follow all safety rules
• Perform other activities as required
Working Conditions
• Industrial Rolling Mill with majority of working time indoors
• Physically demanding; lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs) regularly
• Fast-paced environment
• Combination of sitting, standing, walking for extended periods
Qualifications
• High school diploma/GED

What You’ll Do

Job Summary:
The Logistics Clerk position prepares customer invoices in the TMW System and in SAP along with maintaining the Accounts Receivable ageing for outside customers. Maintain all operator contracts and authorization addendums for each operating unit. Process invoices and email all driver statements to owner/operators weekly.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Review and match invoices to packing/receiving slips prior to Approval.

Responsible for keying vendor invoices for Transportation accounts payable.

Responsible for pricing and processing delivery tickets from owner/operators and company drivers.

Dispatch when dispatchers are on vacation or off due to illness.
Education/Experience:
•
A high school diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 3 to 5 years clerical experience is required; associates degree preferred.

Ability to read, write, and comply with established procedures and instructions.

Basic mathematical calculations, filing, organization, strong communication skills (both verbal and written), and efficient computer skills.

Knowledge of FMCSA, SAP, TMW and ELD operations is preferred.

What You’ll Do
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic controls and systems, using required knowledge and understanding of mechanical, fluidic, and electrical systems/components, as well as how they operate.
- Perform rounds and check machinery to identify abnormalities and ensure that machine functions are operating within the normal specifications.
- Exercise judgement when troubleshooting AC/DC motor controls, PLC, electrical drives, and all high-voltage systems at or below 480 volts.
- Inspect and perform daily maintenance on all shop machinery, mobile equipment, PLC networks, and cranes, and repairs or replaces worn items as required.
- Service the electrical aspect of pumps, motors, cranes, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems as needed.
- Lay out, install, and maintain a variety of complete electronically-controlled equipment, such as rolling mill loop controls, secondary distribution centers, programmable sequences, and pulpit control panel.
- Balance loads and wire complex circuits.
- Work with related diagnostic equipment including digital voltmeter, paper recorder, multi-volt meter, oscilloscope, and other electronic tools and equipment.
- Maintain specified records of work performed, details of repairs, and materials usage.
- Interpret schematics and blueprints at an intermediate level.
- Provide technical assistance to maintenance and production personnel as needed.
Qualifications
- Completion of Ramsey Electrical exam.
- 3–5 years of heavy industrial electrical maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of AC/DC motor theory, PLC troubleshooting, and high-voltage systems.
- Ability to read schematics and use electrical maintenance tools.
- Ability to work Dupont 4/3 schedule with 12hr rotating shifts: days, nights, and two consecutive weekends. Out of 28 days will work only 14 days providing work life balance.

Responsible for supervising and coordinating an assigned shift at the Jackson Finishing Facility, engaged in the processing of steel, which would include Heat Treating, Straighting, Turn and Polishing,and Cutting processes, and associated duties.
This position is primarily accountable for the supervision of an operating shift of the Jackson Finishing Facility. While the incumbent is restricted in decision-making in certain areas (major breakdowns, serious labor problems, selection of materials), the incumbent is given considerable latitude in the operation of the shift. This position reports directly to the General Foreperson or Department Superintendent. Hourly production workers report to the incumbent. The incumbent must have demonstrated high learning agility, the ability to communicate effectively with all areas of the operation, and 6 to 8 years in manufacturing methods and techniques specific to their assigned area, including: Finishing – Understanding of finishing processes and their variables that impact Safety, Quality, and Productivity. Proficient understanding of bottleneck and process optimization concepts. Coordinate maintenance repairs throughout the different finishing processes to ensure maximum productivity. The incumbent is responsible for the safe, effective, and efficient use of manpower and materials, producing the maximum amount of quality steel at the lowest cost. Exercises immediate supervision over production workers involved in the operation and procedures. Directs area personnel in the performance of some mechanical maintenance functions; in coordination with the Maintenance Leadership, oversees the maintenance repair function that occurs in the assigned area. Assists, instructs, directs, develops, and trains personnel in the operational procedures involved in the designated process, along with the care of equipment used. Has direct responsibility for ensuring that all environmental guidelines are followed during the steelmaking process. In addition to these supervisory duties, the incumbent is responsible for filling out shift logs and other production and supervisory reports as required. In accomplishing the job goals and responsibilities of this position, the incumbent must communicate with the previous shift supervisor about the condition of equipment, with the General Foreperson and/or the Superintendent concerning any special problems or instructions. Problems associated with this position include equipment failure, inadequate personnel training, and inadequate housekeeping practices. The main challenge of this position is maintaining the flow of work through the designated department to safely obtain the optimum production of quality steel for the least possible cost. A majority of the incumbent’s time is spent ensuring safety compliance, training and developing team members, and directing, controlling, delegating, reviewing, checking, and eliminating ordinary difficulties, requiring the use of a wide range of procedures and the exercise of judgment in the analysis of supervisory responsibilities to determine what action would be taken within the limits of standard practice. The balance of the time is spent on such activities as production reports, personnel-related reports and records, safety programs, housekeeping, equipment preparation, and, where applicable, maintenance-related activities. Industrial and human relations are fundamental to the effectiveness of this position, as its most significant challenge is motivating crew members and maintaining discipline and good personnel relations involving the application of company rules, regulations, and other matters affecting their work. The incumbent assists with and actively participates in departmental training and team-building efforts. The incumbent is responsible for the proper administration of the collective bargaining agreement and will also be responsible for entering payroll time and reports.

BASIC FUNCTION:
The Product Metallurgist I and II are responsible for assisting in determining and eliminating the root cause of process and product non-conformances, determining process route, practice design and supporting operations, sales, and customer with metallurgical guidance for improvement and resolution.

NATURE & SCOPE:
This job is accountable for identifying and solving metallurgical problems. The incumbent will assist in determining and eliminating the root cause of non-conformance that are found at the division and/or with the customer.
This job reports to the Finihsing Superintendent at Huntington, Indiana.This job has several challenges such as combining the efforts of people, equipment and material in order to meet quality goals and standards, while controlling costs within the established guidelines. Qualification for this job should include a four-year college degree, preferably in a metallurgical engineering or steelmaking knowledge proven through metallurgical experience and a desire to obtain a technical degree.
• Product Metallurgist I: G-Future and/or 1-3 years
• Product Metallurgist II: 5+ years
The incumbent should also have knowledge of grade specifications, customer, and industry specifications. This incumbent should possess basic computer literacy. This job requires the holder to have a completed Product Metallurgist training qualification checklist.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
1. Responsible for identifying and solving metallurgical problems.
2. Perform as customer technical liaison.
3. Dispositions product placed on hold for quality issues or concerns.4. Obtain all metallurgical, customer and industry specifications.
5. Document customer requirements and process routing of quotes in the plant-wide operating systems.
6. Coordinate & control flow of sales quotes in a timely manner.
7. Oversee trial orders with production departments.
8. Initiate Customer Claims when applicable.
9. Determine process routing for standard products.
10. Determine customer PPAP requirements.
11. Assist in resolving customer claims as required to support supply chain.
12. Develop new product applications with GSN Technical Services.
13. APQP/PPAP/FMEA and CP inputs and reviews.
14. Support the Quality system in audits and customer specific requirements.
15. Assist in determining and eliminating the root cause of nonconformance’s that are found at the division and/or with the customer.
16. Responsible for following department rules for safety, discipline, and work procedures within corporate management and quality guidelines.
17. Responsible for following the Cardinal Safety Rules.
18. Responsible for observing completing all required annual safety and environmental training on a monthly basis.
19. Responsible for spill prevention, containment, response and clean up or assist in cleanup of material spills if required in the testing lab or on the production floor.

NATURE AND SCOPE:

GENERAL SUMMARY
The Business Analyst II with Manufacturing focus serves as a subject matter expert for technology on industrial operations, product quality and EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety). Maintenance Planner will provide coordination, direction, and support for implementing and sustaining Asset Reliability Processes (ARP) to improve safety, equipment reliability, and product quality at optimum efficiency and costs. This position is primarily responsible for planning and coordinating maintenance activities on equipment. The Maintenance Planner will develop job plans for all planned maintenance, predictive and preventive technologies, in conjunction with technicians, reliability engineers, mill operations, maintenance personnel and suppliers. This position will maximize the equipment reliability using a systematic approach to plan and schedule maintenance work.
DUITES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop maintenance job plans for mill equipment, covering mechanical, electrical, and automation work scopes

BASIC FUNCTION:
As part of the North American logistics team, provide analysis, technical support, and carrier communications to maintain transportation structures, systems, and ongoing freight services for Gerdau Long Steel North America. Responsible for assisting with the negotiation of proposals, establishing and verifying shipping procedures, and analyzing shipping data in order to look for opportunities and identify market trends. NATURE AND SCOPE
:
This position is primarily responsible for planning and coordinating proactive maintenance activities on equipment, with involvement in projects and maintenance activities that will improve the reliability of the equipment. The ARP Planner will develop job plans for all planned maintenance, predictive and preventive technologies, in conjunction with reliability technicians, reliability engineers, mill operations, maintenance personnel and suppliers.
The incumbent will provide technical assistance and maintenance expertise to assigned location(s). Qualifications for this position include a two-year degree -OR- advanced technical training with at least 5 years experience with a high level of mastery discipline. Provide day-to-day analysis and reporting of product quality data and Lab results.

NATURE AND SCOPE:
Primary responsibilities include:
- General Quality testing, inspection and analysis as required by the product and at the direction of the Quality Assurance Manager.
- This position reports to either the Routine Facilitator or Quality Assurance Manager, depending on the mill location.
- Requires a minimum of two years of steel mill or related experience
- High School Diploma
- Training for the specific tasks will be provided by the site.
- Aptitude for working with computers and sensitive technical instruments is a plus.
- Must be able to work in a controlled laboratory environment
- Must be able to work independently.
- Experience with the use of SAP is preferred.
The Quality Technician is responsible for daily quality testing requirements, record keeping, reporting and equipment maintenance. The incumbent will be accountable for acquisition (where applicable) and preparation of test samples as well as performing the actual tests and reporting of quality results to the appropriate department. Additionally, the Quality Technician may also be responsible for product inspection.
The Quality Technician will be required to review quality data results and compare them to product requirements. The individual is accountable for notifying the routine facilitator or Quality Assurance manager if there are any problems with the data or inspection of the product.
This position may be required to perform additional duties as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager.

Job Summary:
Perform a variety of basic to moderately complex maintenance and repair operations needed to keep the facilities, mobile equipment, and production equipment operating efficiently. Perform various activities to include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and lubrication of equipment. - Report any defective or substandard equipment or materials to the maintenance supervisor.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Need to communicate with the operations personnel and be able to interpret the information they provide in order to make necessary adjustments and repairs to the equipment.
- As necessary, train the operation personnel in various tasks, including; lockout tag out, preventive maintenance, lubrication, REC inspection, and troubleshooting.
- Work closely with outside contractors to complete more complex tasks. Insure that contractors are performing tasks in a manner that is consistent with Gerdau’s safety policies.
- Assist co-workers in daily operational duties that are essential to the yard in terms of safety, efficiency, and profitability; as required and directed.

Job Summary:
This position monitors and assists in controlling incoming and outgoing vehicles, shipments and containers through use scale and software systems. All activity must be accounted for and accurately documented on scale tickets, bills of lading, purchase orders and packing slips, etc.
Nature and Scope:
Directly reporting to the Division Manager, the Scale Operator must regularly communicate with dispatch personnel and other scale operators to assist with company vehicle traffic and all incoming and outgoing yard traffic. This position interacts frequently with yard operations including but not limited to emergency contact for yard operations, material receiving personnel, internal and external drivers as well as management, sales and I.T. personnel.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Enthusiastic greeting of customers and ascertain material grade including all necessary paperwork needed to safely direct all incoming loads to the proper locations throughout the facility.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all inbound and outbound scale transactions by weighing of all customers vehicles, carriers, and company vehicles on main scale. Record supplier, truck or car identification, contract number (if appropriate), description and grade of material, gross, tare and net weights, and discharge location of the load. This includes accurate recording of load deductions (non-conforming material), re-pricing as directed by Buyers, printing and distributing scale tickets as required.
- Maintain daily records of all purchases and sales transactions including proper assignment of purchase and sales order numbers to inbound and outbound material.
- Process scale payments including processing payment adjustments; contact the Buyer to adjust or add in contracts; remove temporary pricing, address and mail out payments as per customer request, fax scale tickets to customers as per their request.
- Create issue and submit cheques to the proper signing authority with proper back up documentation and distribute as requested.
- Issue cash payments for customers that require immediate payment.
- Must be able to manage difficult customer situations effectively and professionally.

Position Overview
We are seeking a safety‑focused Class A CDL Driver to transport steel products and accessory items from Gerdau suppliers. This role involves operating tractor/trailer equipment, making timely deliveries and pick‑ups, and maintaining accurate driving and vehicle records.
Responsibilities
- Operate factory‑equipped diesel straight trucks and tractors with:
- Roll‑off trailers
- Dump trailers
- Van trailers
- Pick up and deliver steel products and related materials
- Safely load, unload, secure, and transport materials in compliance with DOT regulations
- Follow standard operating procedures and prescribed methods
- Complete deliveries and pick‑ups using verbal, written, and electronic instructions
- Maintain accurate records, including:
- Driver’s Daily Log
- Trip Reports
- Vehicle Inspection Reports
- Weekly Expense Reports
- Assist with loading/unloading as needed; unload independently when required
- Secure loads using chains or cinches and attach overhang markers
- Maintain professional, courteous relationships with customers, suppliers, and receivers

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Valid Class A CDL required
- Tanker and HazMat endorsements are a plus
- Minimum 9 months of experience with large mobile equipment or hauling vehicles
- Knowledge of traffic regulations and load restrictions

BASIC FUNCTION:
Responsible for working in teams and with a multitude of vendors, business partners and technologies in order to administer, influence the design, provide an exceptional employee experience, improve wellness outcomes, and maintain program compliance of Gerdau North American benefits for employees, former employees, and families.
NATURE AND SCOPE:
This position reports to the Total Rewards Manager and is considered a Tampa Office Center of Excellence resource and will support North American operations. The Total Rewards Analyst will work with all North American customer groups and business units including Tampa Office functional departments, Metallics/Raw Materials, Mills, and downstream operations.
The qualifications for this job are:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredidated university required; areas of study in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources or a related field preferred.
- Minimum 4 years experience in Total Rewards area(s) or an equivalent demonstrated by 4-6 years experience in accounting, finance, compliance matters with close support of Total Rewards programs, and cross development of total rewards skillsets demonstrated by achieved learnings in ERISA, Benefit plan management, or DC and pension retirement programs.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Lead Total Rewards programs and plans efficiently and accurately administered, in compliance with applicable federal and state regulations and company policy, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Lead annual/regular processes in the Total Rewards department. Examples may include compliance testing support, UAT testing for system upgrades, or open enrollment activities and resolution of issues. Act as a subject matter expert for other internal processes.

Your Purpose:

- Requires close attention and care in observing operations and in guiding or turning material to facilitate straightening, transfer stacking, or tying of products.
- Requires care in making tying or strapping machine adjustments and in providing quick response to alleviate material jams and equipment malfunctions.
- Will involve operating tying/ strapping, bundle discharge, straightener entry machines and to secure bundles for storage or transfer. Stock and feed machines with wire.
- Will activate machines for spacing and placement of binding material and to secure bundles for storage or transfer.
- Will observe material in process for obvious product blemishes, flaws, or short pieces.
- Will operate radio pendant overhead crane and forklift to assist in material movement or housekeeping activities.
- During periods of continuous operation, perform troubleshooting activities associated with equipment failure of banding and tying machines and perform necessary routine or minor maintenance repairs within the scope of technical knowledge; also conduct daily maintenance inspection checks on banding and tying machines and perform preventive maintenance activities; coordinate the reloading of strapping and wiring material.
- Perform other auxiliary duties to include staging parts and equipment such as straightener rolls, guides, etc., for changeovers and assisting finishing crew in completing changeover activities.
- Assist maintenance personnel and operators in other preventive and breakdown maintenance, removing and cutting cobbles.
- Prepare and attach identification tags, tie off heat and lot run ends, and occasionally count bundle pieces.
- Prepare accurate simple add and subtraction hand-held measuring tools.

- Collect and review for accuracy previous shifts’ production report; calculate tonnage produced and forward copies and original to appropriate personnel or departments.
- Using hand tools and pry bars, remove bent, damaged, and shortened pieces from machines, conveyor system, transfer tables/ beds, and finished bundles.
- Manually stack and band products as directed.
- Detect and report faulty material, environmental hazards, and/ or improper operation of plant equipment or machinery; refer questionable and unusual matters to proper supervision. Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion. Follow all safety regulations and practices.

BASIC FUNCTION:
This position is responsible for entering and managing orders to ensure timely and accurate orders are delivered to customers and customers are satisfied.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
% Description of duty/responsibility
- 50% Sales Order Management Activities (SOM) – Order creation, Reconfirmation, Delivery creation and Shipment creation activities to include: Take customer orders (via call or email) to include product needed, timeframe needed and price constraints. Find the product availability and enter the order and confirm. Scope:

CSR II will generally be assigned larger accounts and have higher overall volume to manage than CSR I due to more experience and knowledge.

Job Summary:
Performs maintenance necessary to keep plant, equipment, machinery, and tools in good operating condition. Job Summary:
The Mobile Equipment Operator yard will operate mobile crane, magnet crane, mobile shear, and stationary shear to process scrap materials, load and unload scrap from trucks or railcars, and move scrap within the yard as required.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow all established Gerdau Safety, Environmental, and Routine procedures specific to the yard.
- Inspects mobile shear, magnet crane, and stationary shear daily and documents on checklists to ensure equipment is maintained and in proper working order.
- Performs daily preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure proper working order such as lubrication, greasing, fueling, and keeping cab clean.
- Inspects for proper scrap grade and safety and environmental concerns such as tanks, cylinders, etc. while shearing.
- Shear unprepared material into prepared state identifying size, thickness, and physical dimensions.
- Use magnet crane to load/unload scrap from customer vehicles into appropriate piles or railcars in order to process for shipping.
- Use mobile equipment to lift and move scrap from one area of the yard to another.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist with yard housekeeping efforts and perform other duties and work assignments as required and directed.
- Assist co-workers in daily operational duties that are essential to the yard in terms of safety, efficiency, and profitability.

Job Summary:
The laborer is an entry level position, reflecting employees with no previous knowledge or experience related to scrap metals and recycling. The laborer must have the ability to learn and a strong work ethic. The laborer will assist in several aspects of daily operations such as scrap inspection, sortation, and general yard maintenance as directed.
Under the safety standards of Gerdau the laborer will learn to operate mobile equipment and perform general maintenance duties on machinery. The laborer must have strong communication skills and use them at all times to ensure safety among co-workers, truck drivers, peddlers, and contractors.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow all of the established Gerdau safety, environmental, and routine procedures specific to the yard
- Operate the fork-lift while progressing towards loader operation and material handler operation to assist in the loading, off-loading, and sorting of scrap materials
- Inspect incoming scrap against quality and environmental standards with a progression towards grading and purchasing scrap material
- Apply deductions to non-conforming materials through effective communication with the scale house or yard inspector
- Perform and document daily Routine Equipment Care (REC)
- Detect and report faulty tools, equipment, environmental hazards, and safety hazards to a supervisor
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion
- Provide excellent customer service

Locations with Rail:
- For Operations that have rail; shift full and empty cars, operate locomotive, activate switches, couple and uncouple cars, and set brakes or wheel blocks as requested, in accordance with standard operating procedures.

- Ensure non-conforming objects have been removed from incoming scrap vehicles such as gas tanks (drained and removed), propane tanks, and batteries
- Ensure radioactive materials are removed from inbound/outbound scrap material and quarantined properly

- Assist in non-ferrous sorting and processing as directed by non-ferrous operator
