BASIC FUNCTION:
The Maintenance Reliability Tech & Planner is responsible for improving work force safety, productivity and work quality. It is accountable for managing and planning of shop non-emergency work orders for equipment to maximize reliability, optimizing maintenance costs, and reducing equipment downtime. This job coordinates with the operating and maintenance personnel to determine and plan maintenance work including preventative, predictive, and scheduled corrective maintenance as well as pending work from emergencies and projects to improve equipment reliability. This position works with and supports the ERP-Equipment Reliability Process and is system manager of the Computerized Maintenance Management (CMM) system for the assigned area. QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications for this position include a working knowledge of heavy manufacturing with a target of five years hands-on-experience in lesser positions or equivalent experience. A post-secondary education in administration, engineering or a technical college diploma in an electrical or mechanical discipline is desired. The incumbent must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, be a fast-learner, have the ability to work independently, perform and prioritize a variety of tasks with minimum supervision and must be proficient with computers and data bases.

JOB TITLE: Reliability Tech & Planner
NATURE AND SCOPE
This position is primarily responsible for planning and coordinating proactive maintenance activities of equipment. Providing technical assistance and maintenance expertise to the assigned Gerdau mill location. The ERP Planner reports directly to the area Lead Maintenance Facilitator and works closely with operating and maintenance departments.
This position will maximize the reliability of the equipment using a formal, systematic/analytical approach to planning and scheduling maintenance activities for scheduled outages. Participate and facilitate down day, outage and weekly planning meetings. Participate in projects and maintenance activities that will improve the reliability of the equipment.
This position will be responsible for building detailed job plans, managing work orders and backlog for planned work and will ensure the proper data management of the maintenance related software systems. Work order plans will be developed with all predictive technologies in conjunction with mill operating and maintenance departments.
Due to close contact with operating management and personnel, outside contractors and vendors, this position requires the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of personalities and interests. The incumbent must manage the interests of all parties in creating and modifying work procedures and equipment.
The incumbent will work within the Gerdau Business System to monitor and manage performance. Key indicators will be developed in support of ERP assessment. Will participate, organize and conduct training programs for the maintenance personnel regarding new operating equipment, software, methodologies and procedures.
Due to the nature of manufacturing operations the incumbent will be required to work on regularly scheduled shutdown and must have high availability depending on the requirement of the operation or project being managed.

The ARP Planner coordinates the work execution on down-days and outage to ensure planned work complinance and quality. This position has direct responsibility for planning and scheduling proactive maintenance and project work on all equipment at their assigned location(s).
Nature and Scope
:

Qualifications for this position include a two-year degree -OR- advanced technical training with at least 5 years experience with a high level of mastery discipline. The incumbent must have a mastery level knowledge of heavy manufacturing or other related maintenance engineering activities. The successful candidate will possess an extensive working knowledge of maintenance concepts and techniques with demonstrated expertise in asset reliability technology and systems. The ARP Planner will be responsible for staying abreast of current technology and recommending changes to effect continual improvement of asset reliability and manufacturing processes.
The ARP Planner reports to a Reliability Engineer IV or Reliability Engineer V. The incumbent will work closely with operations and maintenance departments. This position will be responsible for building detailed job plans, ordering parts and services for planned work, preparing work packages, managing the backlog for planned work, and ensuring proper data management. This position is responsible for any modification to the preventive and predictive maintenance programs that might reduce maintenance cost and downtime. Generate CMMS reports that are utilized in all aspects of managing proactive maintenance.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic controls and systems, using required knowledge and understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, fluidic, and electrical systems/components, as well as how they operate.
- Perform rounds and check machinery to identify abnormalities and ensure that machine functions are operating within the normal specifications.
- Exercise judgement when troubleshooting AC/DC motor controls, PLC, electrical drives, and all high-voltage systems at or below 600 volts.
- Inspect and perform daily maintenance on all shop machinery, mobile equipment, HVAC Systems, PLC networks, and cranes, and repairs or replaces worn items as required.
- Service the electrical aspect of pumps, motors, cranes, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems as needed.
- Lay out, install, and maintain a variety of complete electronically-controlled equipment, such as rolling mill loop controls, secondary distribution centers, programmable sequences, and pulpit control panel.
- Balance loads and wire complex circuits.
- Work with related diagnostic equipment including digital voltmeter, paper recorder, multi-volt meter, oscilloscope, and other electronic tools and equipment.
- Maintain specified records of work performed, details of repairs, and materials usage.
- Interpret schematics and blueprints at an intermediate level.
- Provide technical assistance to maintenance and production personnel as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Operate mobile equipment to lift and transport materials, including cranes (includes rigging principles), man-lifts, and forklifts.
- Ensure daily preventative maintenance is performed on vehicles and mobile equipment to include fueling, cleaning, and checking /adding fluids as needed.

Education/Experience:

Your Purpose:
This position directly reports to the Melt Shop Superintendent. As the Refractory Routine Facilitator, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our refractory production department. This position will be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective relations with available suppliers including active solicitation of new supply sources, within assigned region. The supplier base will include established accounts, casual peddlers, auto wreckers, and other generators of scrap metal.
This position reports directly to the Regional Raw Materials Manager and has a functional reporting relationship to the local Division Manager. The incumbent will coordinate activities with other personnel, transportation, scrap inspection and accounting personnel.
Qualifications for this position include a minimum of 2 -3 year of relevant experience with 1 year experience directly related to buying and selling scrap. In addition, incumbent should possess knowledge of sources and grades of raw materials, along with some knowledge of transportation issues and scrap yard operations.
The incumbent must be a self-starter with the ability to initiate business and must possess strong negotiating, communication, math and problem-solving skills. Candidate must function effectively both independently and as a member of a cross-functional team. High ethical standards and a strong work ethic are key attributes. The incumbent’s primary responsibility is the cost-effective procurement of scrap. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Job Summary:
This position has a variety of duties and a broad skill set that makes this position an important part of operational needs. General Labourer requires knowledge of scrap grading or have the ability to learn. The General Labourer will assist in several aspects of daily operational needs such as scrap inspection, depolluting ELV vehicles, and performing general maintenance duties. JOB SUMMARY:

Job Summary:

Job Summary:
Reporting to the Roll Shop Supervisor, this position's main focus will be to set up and operate a computer numerically controlled lathe to machine all types of new and used rolls to finished size and contour for all sections rolled in the Mill.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plans working procedures from instructions, prints, computer programs, and work orders
- Slings rolls and places them in a lathe using a crane
- Centers and fastens roll in the lathe
- Barrels new rolls
- Selects and profiles cutting tools for the job in accordance with hardness, machinability, desired contour, and surface of the roll to be turned and set up in the tool holder
- Sets up and operates CNC lathe to turn any type of roll to finished size within close tolerances
- Selects and adjusts speeds and feeds for material to be cut
- Turns rolls to specifications and intermittently checks dimensions for compliance using a protractor, calipers, micrometers, rulers, straights edge, pass templates, and thickness gauges.

BASIC FUNCTION:

Your Qualifications:
AS degree in Mechanical, Engineering, or Electrical Technologies OR GED/ High School diploma AND Professional certificate in Asset Reliability.
Active CAT I Vibration Analysis Certificate is required.

Gerdau is looking for an experienced Electrician to undertake a variety of tasks related to the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical equipment. Duties & Responsibilities
Analyze all types of circuits, wiring diagrams and drawings as required to install and maintain electrical and electronic devices and systems.

Your Purpose:
You will oversee the creation, execution, analysis, and maintenance of agreements within SAP for our Procurement department. The daily activities include but are not limited to; supporting the strategic procurement process, execution of national, regional, and/or local supplier agreements to include team-based bid processes, negotiations, supplier selection/development, and contract management. RELIABILITY ENGINEER
ABOUT GERDAU:
Gerdau Long Steel North America is a leader in mini-mill steel production and steel recycling in North America. Through a vertically integrated network of mini-mills, scrap recycling facilities and downstream operations, the company serves diverse and balanced product mix of merchant steel, rebar, structural shapes and fabricated steel to its customers throughout the U.S. and Canada.
JOB SUMMARY
This position, reporting to the Reliability Manager, is responsible for local ARP practice implementation and improvement. The Reliability Engineer is primarily responsible for increasing asset availability through the utilization of ARP reliability tools, methods, and practices. Activities require engineering and/or maintenance-based experience in mechanical and/or electrical equipment, preferably those used in steel manufacturing processes and facilities. This position will participate in special projects and engineering activities to improve equipment reliability optimize maintenance costs and reduce equipment downtime. The Reliability Engineer is responsible for annual outage planning processes to minimize downtime and ensure all maintenance performance will achieve equipment reliability.
Due to the nature of manufacturing operations the incumbent may be required to be on-call and must be available for specific operations or projects. Some travel may be required for training and to support projects.
WHAT THE JOB ENTAILS
Reliability Engineer will provide technical coordination and support for implementing and sustaining Asset Reliability Processes (ARP) to improve safety, equipment reliability, and product quality at optimum efficiency and costs by:
- Detect potential failures using predictive technologies.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data.
- Study operations and failures to lower costs and improve equipment reliability and energy efficiency.
- Implement improved engineering designs and procedures through collaboration with operations, maintenance, engineering, and suppliers.
- Ensure the integrity of the Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and standard procedures.
- Participate in the development of the Annual Action Plans and Annual Budgets.

Job Summary:
Perform Metallurgical Services functions through chemical analysis of heat samples, hot billet inspection and inventory control, and managing billet hot charging. Maintain and operate spectrometer, Leco analyzer, and related equipment to examine the chemical composition of heats from melting and casting. Disposition non conforming heats as needed. Maintain and operate the slag analyzer and related equipment for determination of slag composition in melting. Inspect hot billets at the caster for surface and dimensional conformity to orders. Coordinate hot charging of heats with the mill. Assess product grade change samples to maintain traceability during rolling. Record, verify and submit test and inspection results to supervisor.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and perform chemistry tests for samples taken from EAF, ladle, and billets. Verify and discuss test results to Melter and check against product specifications.
- Work with the melter to disposition non conforming heats or portions of heats.
- Inspect hot billets as they are cast for dimensions and quality and report results to the supervisor. Notify the operators of any non conformance.
- Maintain and operate pad grinder, cutoff saw, ARL spectrometer, Leco C/S analysis unit, slag analyzer and weigh scales.
- Calibrate equipment per schedule.
- Enter test results and sample information into personal computer.
- Coordinate hot charging of billets during rolling.
- Check heat samples for radiation.
- Assess grade change samples from the mill and alert supervisor of any discrepancies.

- Actively participate and support 5S initiatives in the work area.

JOB SUMMARY
This project management position also serves in an advisory or consulting capacity coach to all levels of employees, contractors, and plant management. The Engineer will report to the Engineering Manager for the Whitby and Cambridge Mills and will actively participate in the technical development for the Engineering department and maintenance personnel. This position has direct responsibility for specific projects with medium complexity and values ranging from $50,000 up to $5,000,000 or more. The incumbent will be required to travel, possibly for an extended period, to work on CAPEX projects. Project managers at Gerdau are responsible for all aspects of projects; from the development of the investment proposal, to engineering and design, to overseeing fabrication, to construction supervision, and finally to the training of operators and tradespeople.
An Engineer is expected to have valuable experience that improves the quality of execution of projects within the steel industry. The incumbent must have an engineering specialty in at least one field that is applicable to Gerdau’s operations in Ontario, and they must be able to provide value to the business in that field. The applicant must have at least 5 years of previous experience in heavy industry.
WHAT THE JOB ENTAILS
- Project Manager for CAPEX and non-CAPEX projects at the Whitby Mill.
- May be required to complete some projects at our Cambridge Mill
- Integrate new technologies into the plant.
- Train and develop employees in technical and/or project related information.
- Conduct Technical Studies to support CAPEX investments.
- Support process improvement projects where applicable.
- Support operation of the onsite substation and liaise with utility provider as required to maintain compliance with all applicable regulations. Oversee substation modifications, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
- Development and management of internal engineering and/or project management procedures.
- Create, review, approve and issue engineering drawings as required for modifications, installations, and maintenance/repair purposes. Stamping of drawings is not required.
- Must stay abreast of current technologies.
- Provide engineering services for department projects and cost justification.
- Assist in preparing, reviewing and troubleshooting programs for the plant PLCs and computer control systems.
- Travel will be required, approximately 1 week per quarter.
WHAT YOU HAVE TO OFFER
- Four-year Degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum 5 years of industrial experience.
- Specialty in steel-related field.
- Knowledge of engineering and construction techniques used in industrial design, construction, operation, and maintenance.
- Ability to apply engineering fundamentals to the continuous improvement efforts of CAPEX and maximize the efficiency of the overall department operation.
- Good communication skills, ability to articulate ideas, detail oriented, and comfortable dealing with associates at all levels within the organization.

Job Summary:
The Yard Operator has a variety of duties and a broad skill set that makes this position an important part of operational needs. The Yard Operator requires knowledge of scrap grading, or have the ability to learn. The Yard Operator will assist in several aspects of daily operational needs such as scrap inspection, ferrous and non-ferrous purchasing, mobile equipment operation, and performing general maintenance duties.
The Yard Operator will be expected to safely operate a material handling crane or loader in order to accomplish daily tasks. They must communicate regularly with the scale, supervisor, other coworkers, and customers about the quality of material and shipping requirements.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow all established Gerdau Safety, Environmental, and Routine procedures specific to the yard.
- Work involves a variety of tasks, simple through moderately complex in nature, requiring some care to ensure correct procedures are being followed.
- Ensure that all incoming scrap is scanned for radiation and that all material that fails the scan is quarantined and the appropriate personnel are notified.
- Operate the loader and/or the material handler to assist in loading and unloading scrap material, while following the quality standards of Gerdau and the customer.
- Ensure that all incoming scrap inspected against quality, and environmental standards and appropriate deductions and downgrades are applied. Communicate findings with the scale in a timely manner.
- Inspect and verify scrap for grade and quality. Identify deductions and downgrades.
- Ensure that all outbound materials meets safety and quality standards.
- Perform and document daily Routine Equipment Care (REC).
- Detect and report faulty material, environmental hazards, safety, and/or improper operation of plant equipment or machinery; refer questionable and unusual matters to proper supervision. Maintain work area and equipment in a clear and orderly fashion.

Locations with Rail:

Job Description:
1. Implement plan for efficent daily receiving
2. Use handheld wireless device to properly grade incoming and outgoing scrap deliveries
3. Champion of all scrap grades and non-conforming materials (defines criteria for grading scrap, disseminates internally and externally to achieve the desired quality level)
4. Ability to interact and instruct others in the safe practices of scrap off-loading, inspection and storage

Duties & Responsibilities:
· Responsible for ensuring the quality of incoming feedstock for the shredder
· Daily creation of yard-wide receiving plan, coordinate with supervisors and hourly inspectors
· Classification, organization and management of inventory
· Checking, verifying, inputting and record-keeping pertaining to the receipt & inspection of scrap metal
· Development of new methods of tracking materials through the shredder process
· Organization and management of the shipping of processed material
· Frequent periods during which physical exertion is required such as walking long distances across uneven ground, standing, moving small pieces of scrap off of roadways, stooping, etc.
· Tasks performed primarily outdoors with regular exposure to factors such as inclement weather, moving machinery, loud noise etc.

Job Overview:
Maintenance Planner will provide coordination, direction, and support for implementing and sustaining Asset Reliability Processes (ARP) to improve safety, equipment reliability, and product quality at optimum efficiency and costs.
This position is primarily responsible for planning and coordinating maintenance activities on equipment. BASIC FUNCTION:
The Lead Financial Analyst function within the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) group is a leading contributor role supporting the FP&A Manager for Planning and Strategy, Operations Management, and Business Development. JOB OVERVIEW:
The Scale Clerk will perform various duties pertaining primarily to the receiving, weighing, monitoring, and recordkeeping associated with inbound and outbound trucks. Follow established protocol related to scrap and shipping responsibilities.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Customer Service, interact with drivers as the face of the company via telephone and in person.
- Work involves simple tasks, highly repetitive in nature requiring attention to detail to prevent clerical errors and to ensure that all protocols are followed regarding processing inbound and outbound trucks, using the electronic scale.
- Act as weighmaster for all inbound and outbound trucks, trailers, etc.
- Maintain all computer records, truck weights, arrival and departure times, waybills, bills of lading, contract numbers of scrap, and miscellaneous records pertaining to inbound and outbound trucks.
- Refer appropriate personnel when discrepancies exist between actual truck weight and the weight listed on the bill of lading to ensure truck is not overloaded or underloaded.
- Maintain records, follow prescribed protocol, and prepare reports for incoming loads of scrap.
- Assist Warehouse Supervisor/Warehousemen with any load issues.

Job Summary:
The laborer is an entry level position, reflecting employees with no previous knowledge or experience related to scrap metals and recycling. The laborer must have the ability to learn and a strong work ethic. The laborer will assist in several aspects of daily operations such as scrap inspection, sortation, and general yard maintenance as directed.

Job Summary:
Plan, lay out, and perform all operations required to install, troubleshoot, repair, construct, modify, calibrate, test, service, and program highly complex equipment in support of steel production operation and related plant facilities. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic controls and systems, using required knowledge and understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, fluidic, and electrical systems/components, as well as how they operate.
- Perform rounds and check machinery to identify abnormalities and ensure that machine functions are operating within the normal specifications.

Qualifications Required:

Your Purpose:
You will be the subject matter expert for the department in the field of hydraulics/pneumatics or gearboxes/drivetrains. You will perform maintenance necessary to keep plant, equipment, machinery, and tools in good operating condition. You will troubleshoot basic mechanical assemblies to evaluate whether a pump, gearbox, hydraulic system or pneumatic system can be repaired or needs to be replaced, whether to replace or repair worn parts, and amount of lubrication needed.
Your Work:
- Work from drawings, sketches, wiring diagrams, machine operation and maintenance manuals, work order requests, and oral instructions to install, adjust, repair, and perform assigned maintenance duties.

Nature and Scope
:
This position will support the Location Supervisor(s), and Location Manager, in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of all routine and improvement aspects within their area of responsibility. Also to aid in managing, directing and participating in scrap production at the Recycling location in order to achieve efficient output and profit objectives. During the 12 - 18-month development program, the incumbent will develop a core understanding of Gerdau and the steel and recycling industry, how to work in a fast-paced team environment, and the culture that will help prepare you for a leadership or technical role within the company. The incumbent’s objective is to also gain an understanding of the scrap market, grades, and specifications. Organize the collection of scrap metal, aide and supervise the process of sorting scrap metal and stage the delivery of steel to the customers on time and minimize downgrades. Responsible for working with scrap inspectors to ensure proper grading of inbound scrap.
Principal Accountabilities
:
This position directly reports to the Location Manager. The incumbent will coordinate efforts with the different functional groups both within area of responsibility and other areas of the location. The incumbent would be detail oriented and must be comfortable dealing with associates at all levels within the organization. The incumbent will assist in the oversight, contribution to, and support of the trainings and development activities for employees of the location.
The incumbent will assist the Location Management team with the Annual Action Plan, Capex, and administration of established policies, procedures, and processes. This position will contain scope and breadth of responsibility for manufacturing processes as well as the multitude and complexity of the equipment utilized in the manufacturing process. As well as contribute to, and support daily routine and improvement management activities, including identifying best practices, and act as a change agent to help achieve higher level of results within the assigned location by utilizing and implementing improvement processes.
The incumbent will be responsible for the oversight, contribution to, and support of all the safety activities. The incumbent must possess good communication skills, have the ability to articulate ideas, give feedback, resolve conflicts, and point out areas where improvement is needed, as well as the ability to develop a positive relationship with employees in order to develop credibility. Must be results oriented and have the ability to motivate others. Approximately 50% of the incumbents time will be spent outside in the scrap yard.
The Individual:
- Qualifications for this position include a four-year college degree in or Business-related Discipline (Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain or Management, and other related disciplines).
- Recent university graduate - recently completed or be in the process of completing degree before program starts.
- Preference for experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, with a working knowledge of scrap processing methods and techniques (recommended, but not required).
- The ability to train people and serve as a coach to employees will also be an advantage. The incumbent should possess solid presentation abilities combined with good interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Willing to relocate to various locations within North America during the length of the program.

Your Purpose:
You will be responsible for some duties primarily servicing the ladle metallurgy station, the casting machine billet run-out area, ladles, electric arc furnace, and the brick crew operations.
Your Work:
- Will involve simple routine tasks and physical in nature, requiring some care to safely use heavy tools in digging out ladles, shoveling materials, taking temperatures, and obtaining samples at the Ladle Metalurgical Station (LMS), and when operating the forklift and bobcat.
- Will assist LMS Operator when making alloy and slag additions, taking temperature, and assisting with lancing heats.
- Will assist the brick crew with removing refractories from used ladles, tundishes, etc. using heavy pry bars and pneumatic tools, shovel, and dump out brick and slag refuse.
- Will assist in cleaning furnace and surrounding pit area, ladle car track area, tilt cylinders, casting spray changer, and billet run-out area during downtime using hand tools such as a shovel, picks, crowbar, cutting torch, and broom.
- Will assist in hooking up, setting and unhooking ladles, materials, etc. in conjunction with the crane.
- Will assist casting crew with torch cutting scrap billets when necessary.
- Will assist the operator of the track mobile in switching scrap into the stock house.
- Will assist furnace crew, ladle crew, and casting crew as necessary, cross-training in other melt shop jobs, and performing other duties and assignments as required and directed.

Job Summary:

Your Work:
- Work involves diversified duties, highly variable, requiring considerable care and judgment to effectively and efficiently diagnose, dismantle, repair, lubricate, reassemble, or otherwise perform general maintenance activities to include pipefitter, welder, Fabricating millwright, assembler, carpenter, plumber, and installer skills and abilities. Work will include electrical repair and wiring.
- Implement and maintain the division’s preventive maintenance program with input from plant manager and manufacturer’s recommendations. Train and instruct employees on preventive maintenance activities and procedures. Inspect, adjust, clean, and/or lubricate equipment as normal part of preventive maintenance program.
- Maintain and control plant inventory levels for maintenance parts and supplies. Order parts and supplies in accordance with supervisor approval.
- Train lesser-skilled maintenance personnel on proper work methods and safety procedures when assisting with maintenance activities.
- Maintain plant equipment and maintenance records to meet Gerdau and OSHA’s safety and quality compliance standards.
- Diagnose causes of malfunctions by sight, sound, or actions of plant equipment, machinery or processes and determine corrective action to include seeking vendor assistance.
- Tear down, replace, repair, install, and assemble equipment, parts, components, and accessories. Develop and fabricate accessory fixtures or guards for machines and equipment. Adjust machine mechanisms such as feed, speed, power input or output.
- Direct and/or coordinate production employees involved in maintenance repairs.
- Machining (turning, milling, grinding, drilling) parts for use in maintenance and production.
- Work requires basic computer operator skills

Job Description
Perform general maintenance and repair operations, to ensure overall plant, equipment, machinery and tools are in good operating condition while working in many of the diversified capacities required by maintenance.
Primary Function:
To inspect, repair, and make welding repairs as necessary, replace, install, adjust, and maintain all mechanical equipment, including hydraulic equipment, in a producing unit or assigned areas.
Welding test for Maintenance Technician I consists of welding 3 samples in the horizontal, flat and vertical positions in a Tee formation. Test pieces will be subject to break/bend test by offsite party.
Working Procedures:
- Completes all required regulatory/safety training & will follow all safety rules & requirements including maintaining a clean work area.
- Receives instructions covering the scheduled and emergency repair, installation, and inspection work to be done
- Performs preventative maintenance and inspects mill equipment for defects, such as misalignment, wear insufficient lubrication, hydraulic system, etc. Determines the best way of making repairs to minimize interruption of production.
- Effectively and efficiently dismantles, cleans, repairs (welding repairs when necessary), replaces, installs, maintains, assembles hydraulic equipment and lubricates mechanical equipment by the use of predictive technologies in the capabilities of pipefitter, welder, millwright, assembler, installer, etc.
- Adjusts equipment for proper operating gears, bearing, and shafts involving the application of press, sliding, and running fits. Operates simple machine tools, such as drill press, pipe-threading machine, power saw, etc.
- Babbitts and scrapes bearing as required. Erects scaffolds and performs all rigging as necessary.
- Performs all mechanical repairs as required on cranes and mobile equipment
- Lays out, installs, maintains, and repairs all types of pipe lines, fittings, fixtures, and pressure systems as required.
- Repairs leaks in hydraulic systems. Replaces section of pipe that have sprung leaks. Removes and installs complete operating components, such as cylinders, oil motors, four way valves, check valves, etc. that are kept as spares for assemblies on production units, and makes necessary repairs to same.
- Changes, sets up, and adjusts equipment as required by current operation conditions
- Utilizes all required computer systems for planning, executing, and reporting
- Certification in fork truck, various overhead cranes, man-lifts (scissor lifts) and other mobile equipment as required in maintenance activities.
- Utilizes mechanical and electronic diagnostic equipment, computer equipment, , and/or a variety of precision instruments as necessary
- Performs general mechanical repairs on mobile equipment, including cranes
- Performs other duties and work assignments as required and directed
- Works with repair crews as directed and/or required
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Passing the proficiency tests for the various coursework of the Wilton Maintenance Training Program or
- Equivalent maintenance work experience in an industrial environment performing the technical requirements and skills developed and sought by the Wilton Maintenance Training Program

Your Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years of heavy industrial mechanical OR electrical maintenance experience with diesel or heavy equipment or mobile equipment experience.
- Experience working in an industrial environment in a position containing a routine maintenance component
- Ability to work in heights up to 150 ft.
- Ability to work a rotating 12 hr shift, days, nights, and two weekends a month (Dupont 4/3 schedule)
- Understanding of shop mathematics with the use of drawings, specifications, charts, tables, and precision measuring instruments
- Experience with AC/DC motors, gear box mechanics, lubrication principles, welding, cutting torch, NFPA 70E, and common maintenance hand tools
- Experience with pumps, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, stick and tig welding and rigging principles
- Knowledge of interpreting schematics and blueprints
- Ability and willingness to work as part of a self-directed team with limited supervision
Your Work:
- Use drawings, sketches, wiring diagrams, machine operation and maintenance manuals, work order requests, and oral instructions to install, adjust, repair, and perform assigned maintenance duties.
- Position, fit and weld components to assemble machinery frames, plant equipment, attachments or accessories, and building parts according to blueprints or knowledge of
structure
and metal characteristics utilizing various specialty cutting and welding equipment. - Troubleshoot and service pumps, gear boxes, motors, cranes, and hydraulic, and pneumatic systems as needed at an intermediate level.
- Periodically inspect conditions of plant operating machines and equipment for preventative maintenance purposes. Inspect and perform routine equipment care on all shop machinery, mobile equipment, and cranes.
