SCOPE
Primary: - Inspects plant hydraulic equipment for defects, such as misalignment, wear, insufficient lubrication, etc.
- Troubleshoots and analyzes repair, installation and determines best way of making repairs to minimize interruption of production.
- Advises when immediate shutdown of equipment is necessary to minimize damage or when temporarily continued operation will have no harmful effect.
- Dismantles, cleans, repairs, replaces, installs, maintains, assembles and lubricates hydraulic and mechanical equipment.
- Adjust equipment for proper operating characteristics, making either temporary or permanent repairs.
- Operates machine tools, such as drill press, pipe threading machine, power tools, etc.
- Performs all rigging as necessary.
- Performs pipefitting and other repairs of hydraulic lines as required and fabricates hose assemblies.
- Assembles or align gears, bearing and shafts, involving press, sliding and running fits in hydraulic pumps.
- Changes, sets up and adjust equipment as required by current operating equipment conditions.
- Designs alterations to existing hydraulic system.
- Performs minor electrical work required in the servicing, installation and repair of directional valves. Solenoids, etc.
- Reads, understands schematics, drawing and makes sketches if necessary for repair or installation work.
- Documents all work performed on Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- All other tasks assigned by management.
Secondary: - Works with repair crew on emergency and other breakdowns as required.
- Purchases part for hydraulic systems and assures that necessary spare parts and assemblies are available.
- Performs light welding where required in association with routine/emergency repair or installation work.
- Observes good housekeeping and safety on the job site, hydraulic repair shop and maintenance shop.
- Utilization of EMM and GBS concepts.

- 1 year hydraulics experience and Hydraulics Journeyman’s Card

Qualifications You Will Need:

BASIC FUNCTION:
Responsible for coordinating the Learning and Development process and providing effective training programs at the assigned steel mill location. This position will support in identifying the local training needs, developing training content, managing training items and curricula in the Learning Management System, and coordinate the execution of training sessions locally. The incumbent will also perform other Human Resources duties and assist with the development of overall HR programs as required.
NATURE & SCOPE:
The Learning & Development Specialist reports directly to the Human Resources Manager but will also coordinate activities with the Corporate Organizational Development Team.
This position is responsible for coordinating the assessment of current training needs, will provide support in the development of training content specific for the location, manage the local training items and curricula in the Learning Management System, Coordinate and continuously improve the onboarding experience, be a local reference for the employees regarding training execution and LMS administration.
This individual will also coach/mentor the management team on effective training methods and methodologies, provide support to supervisors and managers when they deliver the critical processes training to operators, and create an environment where all employees have a self-development orientation.
The incumbent develops and coordinates the location’s training initiatives and works closely with the Corporate Organizational Development Team to implement skills and leadership training programs. Monitors and evaluates training programs and techniques and recommends revisions where necessary. Also coordinates the orientation/integration programs for all new hires and/or transferred employees.
Although the primary focus of this position is on the training needs for the assigned location, this position will spend time performing other human resources processes when needed.

The Senior Accounting Clerk is responsible for high volume transaction processing and responding to vendor and internal inquiries with a customer service focus. Processing includes the entry of Accounts Payable transactions including 3-way match and non-purchase order invoice entry, disbursement related entries, the intake and sorting of incoming correspondence from vendors (mail, e-mail, fax), as well as identifying exceptions to the standard processes according to the department's policies and procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Retrieve, open and prepare Accounts Payable mail for ingestion into the process.

- Timely and accurate filing of vendor invoices and correspondence (physical and electronic)

Job Summary:
Move finished product from rolling mill to staging area for outbound shipments with the use of mobile or material handling equipment. Assist in a variety of functions related to the Logistics Department including inventory and quality checks.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of tasks, which are routine in nature, and which require exercising care in the operation of mobile equipment, handling materials safely, and loading appropriate products in designated areas.
- Transfer stacked and bundled materials from end of rolling mill finishing operations to stock area:
- Store materials according to product, grade, size, and heat number.
- Rotate warehouse stock materials to make room for new product
- Communicate material locations for inventory accuracy.
- Operate material handling equipment to lift, move, and position product.
- Observe items for conformity regarding product size, type, and length. Looks for quality issues that can be detected with the visible eye and reports issue to the Quality department.
- Assist in physical inventory counts and daily inventory spot checks.
- Perform other duties and work assignments as required and directed. This position may be required to help and fill for other Logistics positions and job duties on a temporary basis.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Ensure daily preventative maintenance is performed on vehicles and mobile equipment, which may include fueling, cleaning, and checking/adding fluids as needed.
- Follow all PPE requirements and safety rules/guidelines for all tasks being performed.
- Assist in training of coworkers as needed.
- Execute general 5S activities in the work area.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Completed Gerdau safety training.

Your Responsibilities:
Railcar Utilization, Supply & Planning
· Lead the efficient allocation, tracking, and utilization of railcars across U.S. and Canadian facilities.
· Manage the full supply of railcars needed for logistics, coordinating with railroads for railcar supply and working with customers to ensure private cars are returned promptly.
Collaborate closely with the Commercial team to ensure railcar availability aligns with customer demand and delivery schedules.
· Railcar Leasing, Maintenance & Repair Management.
· Negotiate and manage leasing contracts for private railcars, including conducting fleet studies and forecasting to determine the optimal number of cars required.
· Create and process payments for leasing companies, ensuring accurate and timely transactions.
· Maintain up-to-date records and ensure the leasing accounts remain in good standing with leasing companies, minimizing delays or disruptions.
· Oversee all maintenance and repair activities for private and non-private railcars, ensuring timely execution, proper documentation, and cost control.
· Track repair costs and downtime trends to support continuous improvement and fleet planning.
Transloader Account Management
· Manage all transloader accounts, including onboarding new partners, overseeing performance, capacity, and day-to-day service quality.
· Evaluate and assist on the negotiation of transloading rates, ensuring value and alignment with service expectations.
· Process and manage all invoices from transloaders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with agreed terms.
· Lead the rollout and adoption of a third-party TMS platform among transloaders to enable better inventory management and shipment visibility.
· Act as the central point of contact between transloaders and internal teams including Logistics, Commercial, and Credit.
Data Analysis & Reporting
· Use internal systems to monitor railcar utilization, transit performance, and key metrics such as turnaround time, dwell time, and service exceptions.
· Build and distribute customized reports that offer transparency into fleet operations, carrier performance, and cost efficiency.

Job Summary:
Plan, lay out, and perform all operations required to install, troubleshoot, repair, construct, modify, calibrate, test, service, and program highly complex equipment in support of steel production operation and related plant facilities. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic controls and systems, using required knowledge and understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, fluidic, and electrical systems/components, as well as how they operate.
- Perform rounds and check machinery to identify abnormalities and ensure that machine functions are operating within the normal specifications.

You Have:

Your Purpose:

Job Summary:
This position monitors and assists in controlling incoming and outgoing vehicles, shipments and containers through use scale and software systems. All activity must be accounted for and accurately documented on scale tickets, bills of lading, purchase orders and packing slips, etc.
Nature and Scope:
Directly reporting to the Division Manager, the Scale Operator must regularly communicate with dispatch personnel and other scale operators to assist with company vehicle traffic and all incoming and outgoing yard traffic. This position interacts frequently with yard operations including but not limited to emergency contact for yard operations, material receiving personnel, internal and external drivers as well as management, sales and I.T. personnel.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Enthusiastic greeting of customers and ascertain material grade including all necessary paperwork needed to safely direct all incoming loads to the proper locations throughout the facility.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all inbound and outbound scale transactions by weighing of all customers vehicles, carriers, and company vehicles on main scale. Record supplier, truck or car identification, contract number (if appropriate), description and grade of material, gross, tare and net weights, and discharge location of the load. This includes accurate recording of load deductions (non-conforming material), re-pricing as directed by Buyers, printing and distributing scale tickets as required.
- Maintain daily records of all purchases and sales transactions including proper assignment of purchase and sales order numbers to inbound and outbound material.
- Process scale payments including processing payment adjustments; contact the Buyer to adjust or add in contracts; remove temporary pricing, address and mail out payments as per customer request, fax scale tickets to customers as per their request.
- Create issue and submit cheques to the proper signing authority with proper back up documentation and distribute as requested.
- Issue cash payments for customers that require immediate payment.
- Must be able to manage difficult customer situations effectively and professionally.
- Answer main telephone line and redirect all calls accordingly.
- Constantly maintain radio contact with the appropriate yard personnel including and being aware of Emergency calls and proper handling of different types of situations.
- Maintain and implement safe work procedures while ensuring all guests have been informed of and adhere to proper PPE requirements.

Job Summary:
Performs maintenance necessary to keep plant, equipment, machinery, and tools in good operating condition. Job Summary:
The Yard Operator has a variety of duties and a broad skill set that makes this position an important part of operational needs. The Yard Operator requires knowledge of scrap grading, or have the ability to learn. BASIC FUNCTION:

NATURE AND SCOPE:

The Analyst will plan and manage the backlog and deliverables of the Customer Insights team and support data science project related to optimizing, estimation and ML. Job Description
Perform general maintenance and repair operations, to ensure overall plant, equipment, machinery and tools are in good operating condition while working in many of the diversified capacities required by maintenance.
Primary Function:
To inspect, repair, and make welding repairs as necessary, replace, install, adjust, and maintain all mechanical equipment, including hydraulic equipment, in a producing unit or assigned areas.
Welding test for Maintenance Technician I consists of welding 3 samples in the horizontal, flat and vertical positions in a Tee formation. Test pieces will be subject to break/bend test by offsite party.
Working Procedures:
- Completes all required regulatory/safety training & will follow all safety rules & requirements including maintaining a clean work area.
- Receives instructions covering the scheduled and emergency repair, installation, and inspection work to be done
- Performs preventative maintenance and inspects mill equipment for defects, such as misalignment, wear insufficient lubrication, hydraulic system, etc. Determines the best way of making repairs to minimize interruption of production.
- Effectively and efficiently dismantles, cleans, repairs (welding repairs when necessary), replaces, installs, maintains, assembles hydraulic equipment and lubricates mechanical equipment by the use of predictive technologies in the capabilities of pipefitter, welder, millwright, assembler, installer, etc.
- Adjusts equipment for proper operating gears, bearing, and shafts involving the application of press, sliding, and running fits. Operates simple machine tools, such as drill press, pipe-threading machine, power saw, etc.
- Babbitts and scrapes bearing as required. Erects scaffolds and performs all rigging as necessary.
- Performs all mechanical repairs as required on cranes and mobile equipment
- Lays out, installs, maintains, and repairs all types of pipe lines, fittings, fixtures, and pressure systems as required.
- Repairs leaks in hydraulic systems. Replaces section of pipe that have sprung leaks. Removes and installs complete operating components, such as cylinders, oil motors, four way valves, check valves, etc. that are kept as spares for assemblies on production units, and makes necessary repairs to same.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Coordinate plant construction activities as required for installation of new plant equipment or modification to existing equipment. The construction coordination may involve maintenance personnel, production personnel, and/or outside contractors. The Project Engineer will coordinate meetings as needed with the personnel who requested or will be affected by the new or modified equipment. Before the installation or modification of the equipment the Project Engineer may request quotations, develop installation schedules, and assist with fabrication details. This position must also ensure that the maintenance or construction personnel have accurate reference materials to install all equipment conduit, wiring, control desks, MCC’s switch gears, etc. required for a successful electrical outage.
The major challenge of this position is to ensure that equipment purchases and designs are durable, economical, and easy to fabricate and install. Installation or modification of equipment is to be accomplished with the minimum amount of outage duration and be on or below the approved budget.
The Project Engineer job functions may involve high and low-voltage distribution systems and equipment, AC & DC drive systems, instrumentation and control, programmable logic and computer control, and electrical machinery. Within these areas, work may include design specification, purchasing, supervision of construction and installation, commission, and troubleshooting of new or modified equipment.
Assist the Environmental Engineer, Sr. Project Engineer, and or Engineering Manager with miscellaneous environmental and engineering activities.
Some work items may require the services of outside engineering consultants. In this case, this position will be involved in establishing design objectives, prepare engineering bid specifications, and competitively bid the work. After receiving approval to perform the work the engineer will coordinate and monitor activities of the consultant to ensure equipment compatibility with the departments which will operate and maintain the new equipment.
Maintain equipment files and resource materials such as drawings, instruction manuals, test data, design criteria, and specifications. These materials are to be organized to facilitate their use for three key purposes: as a maintenance aid, as a basis for equipment performance evaluation, and as a reference for new design and installation. These resources are to be made available to maintenance personnel to maximize their value in troubleshooting, operations, and preventive maintenance.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5-6 years’ experience working in an industrial/manufacturing/construction environment
- Experience with Allen Bradley control systems
- Experience with WonderWare systems preferred
- Experience with industrial automation troubleshooting and repair preferred
- Willingness to travel, including internationally
- Strong background in mechanical systems is preferred
- Steel mill experience – preferred, but not required
- Leadership skills - ability to manage construction vendors and contractors
- Strong interpersonal skills with the workforce, contractors, and engineering leadership team.
- Ability to manage projects and project paperwork.
- Project management on Industrial Construction Projects is a plus.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office including Microsoft Project.
- Electrical power distribution experience a plus
- Auto CAD experience preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work with diverse populations and communication styles.
- Strong organizational skills are key in this position. Must have the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and multi-task to be successful.
- Ability to independently make accurate decisions and demonstrate good judgment.

Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Material Science.

Your Purpose:
As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for the oversight, contribution to, and support all the trainings and development activities for employees at the mill. Gerdau is looking for an experienced Electrician to undertake a variety of tasks related to the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical equipment. This would include but is not limited to communication systems, various mill and production equipment, electronic computing and controls systems, power and distribution control devices, gauges, and instrumentation.
Duties & Responsibilities
Analyze all types of circuits, wiring diagrams and drawings as required to install and maintain electrical and electronic devices and systems.
Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair or replace faulty parts and wiring on all types of equipment.
Perform inspection and repairs on all electric brakes including those used on cranes. Perform preventive maintenance on electrical, instrument, controls devices and equipment.

This person should be familiar with:
Motor Controls –maintain, troubleshoot, and replace starters and VFD’s or DC drives.

The Controls Technician II analyzes job requests received from various departments for priority, material requirements and scope of project.

NATURE AND SCOPE:
Primary responsibilities include: plan, coordinate, and perform all operations required to install, troubleshoot, maintain, repair, modify, construct, calibrate, test, service and program complex control systems in support of steel production and related plant operations. This job reports directly to the Routine Facilitator and indirectly to the Regional Director of Maintenance & Engineering.
This job requires a minimum 5 years experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment, with a strong machine electrical background and a completed Training Checklist for this job. In addition, this job requires 2 - 3 years working as a Controls Technician I. This incumbent should possess computer literacy.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- 1.Analyze job requests received from various departments for priority, material requirements and scope of project.
- Installation, modification, monitoring, troubleshooting and repair of highly automated industrial control equipment.
- Design, plan, install and maintain a variety of industrial control equipment and instrumentation including: loop controls, variable frequency drives, control panels, load balancing, and complex electrical circuits.

- Maintain networks, computers and peripherals associated with plant industrial control systems.

- Respond to emergency calls involving equipment breakdowns that affect production and/or quality of end product.
- Responsible to use CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to create purchase orders and develop/administer PM and work order procedures.

Job Summary:
The Yard Operator has a variety of duties and a broad skill set that makes this position an important part of operational needs. The Yard Operator requires knowledge of scrap grading, or have the ability to learn. The Yard Operator will assist in several aspects of daily operational needs such as scrap inspection, ferrous and non-ferrous purchasing, mobile equipment operation, and performing general maintenance duties.
The Yard Operator will be expected to safely operate a material handling crane or loader in order to accomplish daily tasks. They must communicate regularly with the scale, supervisor, other coworkers, and customers about the quality of material and shipping requirements.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow all established Gerdau Safety, Environmental, and Routine procedures specific to the yard.
- Work involves a variety of tasks, simple through moderately complex in nature, requiring some care to ensure correct procedures are being followed.
- Ensure that all incoming scrap is scanned for radiation and that all material that fails the scan is quarantined and the appropriate personnel are notified.
- Operate the loader and/or the material handler to assist in loading and unloading scrap material, while following the quality standards of Gerdau and the customer.
- Ensure that all incoming scrap inspected against quality, and environmental standards and appropriate deductions and downgrades are applied. Communicate findings with the scale in a timely manner.
- Inspect and verify scrap for grade and quality. Identify deductions and downgrades.
- Ensure that all outbound materials meets safety and quality standards.
- Perform and document daily Routine Equipment Care (REC).
- Detect and report faulty material, environmental hazards, safety, and/or improper operation of plant equipment or machinery; refer questionable and unusual matters to proper supervision. Maintain work area and equipment in a clear and orderly fashion.

Locations with Rail:

Your Purpose:

BASIC FUNCTION:
Primary functions are tax compliance for the Company and its subsidiaries. Primarily responsible for the preparation of all sales and use, property, fuel, intangible federal excise, and occupational tax returns and timely payment of associated taxes. NATURE AND SCOPE:
The Tax Accountant reports directly to the State/Local Tax Manager who reports to the Director of Taxes. This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
This position is responsible for:
- The preparation of the Company’s sales and use tax, real and personal property tax, fuel oil and mileage tax returns.
- State and Local tax compliance by completing and filing all returns, tax research and analysis as necessary to maintain compliance.
- Registration and renewal with state and local entities where the Company has locations, has employees or does business to obtain business licenses, tax identification numbers, etc.
- Filing annual reports as required by various state and local entities where the Company has a business presence.

Job Summary:
The laborer is an entry level position, reflecting employees with no previous knowledge or experience related to scrap metals and recycling. Your Purpose:

BASIC FUNCTION:
The Engineer position will provide technical coordination and support in the operating and capital expense management processes by initiating and running projects using the capital expense (CAPEX) project process, equipment monitoring, stabilization and improvements through;

DIMENSIONS:
This position serves in an advisory capacity for all levels of employees, contractors and plant management; however, this position will not be responsible for supervising direct reports. This position has direct responsibility for specific projects with medium complexity and values up to $2,000,000. They may also be required to work with a dedicated team on strategic projects with high complexity and values up to $100,000,000. From time to time, the incumbent may be required to travel to work on CAPEX projects.
NATURE AND SCOPE:
This position is primarily responsible for the planning, budgeting, and execution of CAPEX projects. They shall prepare and/or review all engineering, financial, and operational data needed for the correct and efficient development of capital projects. This will include the need to work in close cooperation with department supervisors and appropriate engineering, maintenance, and operations team members to ensure correct and proper selection, installation, and operation of all related equipment to obtain the desired production, safety, and quality levels as needed. The position may be required to work in a multi-disciplinary team to evaluate, plan, budget, and execute complex capital projects.
Qualifications for this position include a four-year college degree in Engineering combined with up to five (5) to eight (8) years of industrial experience. The incumbent should be a specialist in at least one (1) engineering field. Must be knowledgeable in project management techniques used in the development and execution of capital projects. Successful candidate must be able to apply engineering fundamentals to the continuous improvement efforts of CAPEX and maximize the efficiency of the overall plant operation.
This position reports directly to the Engineering Manager, typically an Engineer IV or Engineer V, or the Division Engineering Manager for assignments. The incumbent must possess good communication skills, have the ability to articulate ideas, detail oriented, and be comfortable dealing with associates at all levels within the organization. This job is accountable for the mechanical and electrical maintenance of all equipment of an area or department or modification to existing equipment.
The modification coordination will involve maintenance personnel, production personnel, and/or outside contractors. Cooperates with the Safety Manager in developing and directing programs to create and maintain employee interest and participation toward safety. The Yard Operator will be expected to safely operate a material handling crane or loader in order to accomplish daily tasks. They must communicate regularly with the scale, supervisor, other coworkers, and customers about the quality of material and shipping requirements.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow all established Gerdau Safety, Environmental, and Routine procedures specific to the yard.
- Work involves a variety of tasks, simple through moderately complex in nature, requiring some care to ensure correct procedures are being followed.
- Ensure that all incoming scrap is scanned for radiation and that all material that fails the scan is quarantined and the appropriate personnel are notified.
- Operate the loader and/or the material handler to assist in loading and unloading scrap material, while following the quality standards of Gerdau and the customer.
- Ensure that all incoming scrap inspected against quality, and environmental standards and appropriate deductions and downgrades are applied. Communicate findings with the scale in a timely manner.
- Inspect and verify scrap for grade and quality. Identify deductions and downgrades.
- Ensure that all outbound materials meets safety and quality standards.
- Perform and document daily Routine Equipment Care (REC).
- Detect and report faulty material, environmental hazards, safety, and/or improper operation of plant equipment or machinery; refer questionable and unusual matters to proper supervision. Maintain work area and equipment in a clear and orderly fashion.
- Provide excellent customer service.
- Promote and practice the core values of Gerdau.
- Participation in daily safety routine.
Locations with Rail:
- For Operations that have rail; shift full and empty cars, operate locomotive, activate switches, couple and uncouple cars, and set brakes or wheel blocks as requested, in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Assist in monthly inventory counts (where applicable)
- Assist maintenance personnel in the performance of equipment repairs as required or directed.
- Operate the Baler Operation.
- Assist in nonferrous processing; including segregation of materials to upgrade products. For example: Copper, Brass, Aluminum, etc.
- Assist co-workers in daily operational duties that are essential to the yard in terms of safety, efficiency, and profitability.
- Stage and remove material for torching with a material handler (where applicable).
- Problem solving input and contributions as required.

- create studies of relevant issues and forecasts;
- maintain adequate files and records to compile periodic reports;

The primary objective of Improvement Facilitator is to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of all improvement aspects within their area of responsibility at the Jackson Mill.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Identify opportunities for improvement within his/her area of responsibility and approve standards developed from these efforts
Responsible for developing and implementing activities that support the annual action plan specifically as they relate to improvement projects
Design or develop new or alterations to existing structures, systems, and equipment

The Individual:
