SCOPE

 

      Primary:   

  • Work and assist as directed by the Facilitator.
  • Operate equipment in work area.
  • Monitor equipment in work area.
  • Move, handle and prepare material in work area.
  • Process product to move to next work area.
  • Maintain safe work area through housekeeping, general clean-up and 5S.
  • Possess and demonstrate ability to qualify for sequential positions in the line of progression.

 

      Secondary: 

  • Acquire and maintain valid equipment permits as needed per work area.
  • Maintain spare parts and supplies as needed for work area.
  • Quality checks and inspection as required.
  • Utilization of EMM & GBS concepts.

 

                          

TRAINING AND/OR BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS:

  •  High school diploma or equivalent.
  •  Must be able to pass written test with a minimum of 70%.
  •  Basic math and computer skills.

                    

 

­­­­QUALITY RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Observe and follow Integrated Policy (Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality).

 

SAFETY RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain housekeeping in work area.
  • Observe and follow all general and departmental safety rules and regulations (inc. Cardinal Safety Rules).
  • Maintain a valid lift truck license.

 

COST/PRODUCTION RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain safe work area through housekeeping and 5S.
  • Maintain work area storage areas.
  • Clean-up or assist in clean-up of material spills.

 

 

ENVIRONMENTAL RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Observe and follow all general and departmental environmental procedures, practices and regulations.
  • Complete annual environmental training, if applicable.
  • Spill containment and response.
  • Fugitive dust control.
