Fabricator/Welder Maintenance

 

Competitive pay $75000 - $105000 / year depending upon trade experience and benefits start on your first day!

You Have: 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to work a rotating 8-10 hr day shift and every other weekend. Day shift position that works 8 days on then 6 days off (rotating).
  • Experience with repairing and fabricating spare parts for gearbox, components, pumps, as well as welding.  Previous experience on over-head cranes and or electrical preferred.
  • Understanding of shop mathematics with the use of drawings, specifications, charts, tables, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Fabrication Certification strongly preferred with strengths in vertical and flat welding.
  • Strong knowledge of fabrication maintenance parts and equipment in an industrial setting required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in a heavy industrial setting required.
  • Team-oriented with communication skills required to work with supervisors, engineers, maintenance, and production operators. 

 

Your Purpose:

You will primarily perform fabrication duties to create, repair, maintain and improve plant equipment.  The secondary function of this position is to utilize heavy industrial maintenance knowledge to assist in a mechanic capacity.

 

Your Work:

  • Plan, layout, set-up, and perform or direct repairs to worn or damaged machined, fabricated, cast, forged, or welded metal parts.
  • Salvage or maintain plant structures, machines, or equipment as specified by sketches, diagrams, sample parts, or work piece; also may develop or build pieces and attachments.
  • Develop and fabricate additions or attachments to equipment, jigs, and fixtures, work tables, equipment reinforcements, and perform other duties and work assignments as required
  • You will start, observe, and operate equipment to detect or verify the malfunction.
  • You will conduct preventive maintenance through inspecting, adjusting feed, speed power input and output, cleaning, and lubricating equipment.
  • You will occasionally support in the tear down, replacement, repair, installation, and assembling equipment, parts, components, and accessories.
  • You will support the detection and reporting of faulty material, environmental hazards, and/ or improper operation of mill equipment or machinery.   
  • You will have a variety of occasionally complex duties requiring considerable care to effectively dismantle, repair, lubricate, reassemble, as wells as general maintenance in varied capacities such as an electrician, pipefitter, machine repair, plumber, millwright, welder, and burner.
