BASIC FUNCTION (Primary Purpose):
This position has 2 primary responsibilities. The first is medium range (3-6 month horizon) strategic forecasting by key segment, country, and product distinction. The second is the optimization, tracking and conflict resolution of order placement and management within the near term (approx. 60 days). This position has significant impact on the profitability of Gerdau as well as positioning the company in the market to achieve our long term strategic objectives.

55% | Working with the Sales, Marketing, PLMs, SOP, and finance teams, this position will understand and align the overall segmentation strategy to help set guidance and direction to the sales team and the overall organization for planning and financial forecasting.
This forecast manager will begin the forecasting process by setting the foundation for the sales team to refine the sales forecast at the customer level as well as guide operations for planning and overall capacity planning.
Managing and tracking the adherence of order acceptance (used for production planning) to the original plan. Inevitably, there will be required deviations from the original plan. This position will work with supporting departments to optimize order acceptance to maximize volume and profitability while respecting strategic direction and long term segmenation objectives.
With a focus on schedule integrity and customer satisfaction, this position will also balance inventory objectives with customer service levels.
Tracking results and opportunity capture are key to the success of this position.

Scope (brief description)
:
This position will participate in forecasting volume at the segment, sector, country and product level and then track adherence to that forecast up to and including
order acceptance and production planning. There will be deviations and modifications during the order acceptance stage from the original forecast. This position will have to be knowledgeable and sensitive to the strategic vision for Gerdau while balancing the short term objectives of customer satisfaction, inventory control, sales volume and revenue.
Scope will include all aspects of revenue generation (vmi, edi, concentration on key associations (NASA), eGerdau intelligence, etc). One measure of success will be a smooth pass off of sales orders to FM during the block closing process.
Significant use of AI and predictive tools will be required in addition to leveraging the existing data available in SAP/SEP/eGerdau, Marketing and external data sources, and Power BI visualizations.
Supervisory Responsibilities & Reporting Structure

Qualifications and Educational requirement(s):
Minimum 4 or more years of Sales, Fulfillment, and/or Supply Chain experience and a four-year degree from an accredited college or university (or equicalent additional experience)
Preferred experience in the following industries (not required): 1. Steel, 2. Metals Manufacturing, 3. Commodities pertaining to the Steel Industry, 4. Metals Distribution/Service Centers, 5. General Manufacturing (industrial, car).
Preferred degree in the following areas (not required): 1. Business with Sales and Marketing emphasis, 2. Engineering or Material sciences, 3. Supply Chain
Minimal travel is required –estimated at 2 to 4 overnights per quarter.

- Market Share Performance
- Forecast Accuracy for profitability and volume.
- EBITDA vs forecast and PEX goals
- Customer satisfaction (surveys, individual supplier scorecards)
- Inventory Accuracy
- Production Schedule Integrity
