BASIC FUNCTION:
The SAP Security Analyst is a senior level technologist, under minimal supervision of the Sr Manager, Security or Manager, Security, functioning as an SAP security expert. The incumbent will serve as the lead for implementing and maintaining several critical compliance based projects and on-going SAP security efforts.
DIMENSIONS:
The SAP Seccurity Analyst will work within the Security function of the IT department. This role will report to the Sr Manager, Security or Manager, Security, and may receive daily guidance from the Team Lead, Security. This role will not have any direct reports. However, this role will provide guidance and support to others within the IT organization.
NATURE AND SCOPE:
The SAP Seccurity Analyst is responsible for reviewing existing SAP profiles to develop and implement solutions to SAP security controls issues through coordination with the functional and technical users. This role will function as the security strategist, following current best practices and aligning all teams with these decisions. Additionally, this role is responsible for developing and maintaining roles within SAP, SAP S/4 Hana and for provisioning and de-provisioning users in SAP.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree, combined with 5 years of experience in SAP Security.
- Security experience in S/4 HANA implementation and Fiori authorizations is desirable.
- Experience of designing, configuring and implementing SAP GRC products, such as Access Control, Process Control and Business Integrity screening etc.
- Industry-recognized certifications.
- Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Due to the nature of the activity, SAP Security Analyst II must have good written and verbal communication, team, and people skills. Must be able to share information and communicate clearly with team members and internal customers.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Interact with Gerdau associates, customers, and suppliers to meet service levels.
- Participate as needed in Critical Incident and Post Implementation reviews.
- Create knowledgebase solutions and providing assistance to Service Desk associates.
- Record, communicate, and resolve technical and non-technical issues.
- Write and maintain technical documentation.
The SAP Seccurity Analyst will be responsible for the following additional responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for coordinating SAP security efforts with regards to staff and audit requests.
- Support in the SAP S/4 Hana project implementation and sustain.
- Provision and de-provision users and roles with appropriate SAP security levels.
- Role administration, designing, implementing, testing and change management.
- Fiori role design and implementation.
- Update and create profiles within SAP while maintaining a secure controls environment.
- Maintain a Segregation of Duties solution for the SAP environment (e.g. HR/Payroll, BASIS, Security Administration, and BI).
- Configuration of rule set for Access Risk Analysis (ARA), Access Risk Management (ARM) and Emergency Access Management (EAM)
- Provide insight and participation in security based projects.
- Recommend security measures to protect information against unauthorized access.
- Working closely with the Value Streams and Functional teams to understand security requirements and recommend best SAP security practices.
