Job Description:
- Employees will complete all required regulatory/safety training & will follow all safety rules & requirements including maintaining a clean work area.
- Receives wiring diagrams, drawings, specifications, and instructions covering the scheduled and emergency repair, installation, and inspection work to be done.
- Provides general assistance in assessing all types of circuits, wiring diagrams, and drawings as required to install, repair, adjust, calibrate, program, time, construct, modify, or service all types of electrical and electronic devices and systems, including communication systems, various mill and production equipment, electronic computing and control systems power and distribution control equipment, measuring, recording, processing and control devices, indicating devices and gauges, etc.
- Plans details of working procedure to find material or replacement needs and selects a logical approach to "trouble shooting" and repair problems. Answers trouble calls.
- Makes sketches of parts and layouts.
- Assembles, installs conduit, inspects, adjusts, repairs, or replaces faulty parts and wiring on all types of electronic devices. Uses test equipment and hand tools to locate and properly repair equipment to ensure it is operating safely, efficiently, and effectively.
- Installs conduit, switches, controls, and fixtures. Assists in the connection of all types of electrical or electronic equipment as required for new equipment installation or replacements.
- Assist in the installation, repair, replacement and maintenance of high voltage switch gear, cables, insulators, bushings, etc.
- Utilize all required computer systems for planning, executing, and reporting
- Certification in fork truck, various overhead cranes, man-lifts (scissor lifts) and other mobile equipment as required in maintenance activities.
- Performs all other plant electrical maintenance as required.
- Perform other duties and work assignments as required and directed
- Works with repair crews as directed.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED with Successful completion of all requirements necessary to graduate from the Wilton Maintenance Training Program and/or successfully meeting the following requirements

This position’s primary responsibility is to provide leadership to the procurement team supporting one of Gerdau North America’s business units (GLN Operations). The Procurement Manager will ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services to support the production plans of Gerdau throughout the designated procurement region / business division. The Procurement Manager will be responsible for reducing product costs, managing and supporting supplier programs, meeting cost reduction objectives for direct and indirect materials and services, and exceeding internal customer expectations. The incumbent works directly with the Regional and Central Procurement Teams in developing a strategic direction throughout their area in order to improve profitability and manage working capital. These activities include but are not limited to the execution of supplier agreements and purchase orders, management of supplier quality and performance, conducting cost-savings initiatives, and ensuring compliance to established policies and procedures. The incumbent is responsible for the supervision and development of a team of Buyers and other Procurement personnel in order to support the business operations.

NATURE AND SCOPE
:
This position reports to either the Regional Procurement Manager or to the Director of Procurement with dotted-line responsibility to the relevant Business Division leadership. The Procurement Manager is responsible for purchasing goods and materials in a timely, economical, and efficient manner. The Procurement Manager is responsible for the maintenance and execution of the Procurement process to meet commercial, operating, and cost requirements. The incumbent will participate in the development of tactical plans for procurement in direct support of the business unit(s) they support. This involves establishing and maintaining effective relations with the supplier base and the active execution and implementation of national, regional, and local supply contracts. This position oversees and manages the acquisition of materials, services, and equipment within the region, adhering to company standards and established commodity strategies, while ensuring the lowest total cost, desired quality, and required delivery terms.
Qualifications for this position include a four-year degree in Business, Engineering, Economics or related field. Five (5) years of related procurement experience including a minimum of two (2) years in a supervisory role is required. A professional certification in procurement/ supply chain management (C.P.M., CPSM) is preferred. In addition, the incumbent should possess knowledge of contract terms and conditions, purchasing systems (SAP and/or other ERP software), manufacturing operations, and strategic sourcing. Incumbent must be capable of generating and implementing contracts and managing purchase orders relative to all aspects of documenting the negotiations, communications, and accounting, tax, and legal implications of these transactions. Incumbent must have an excellent working knowledge of Manufacturing Processes, Management Systems, Operational Routines and Procedures, and the ability to analyze Technical Drawings and Specifications. The ability to build strong integrated teams while fostering the professional and personal development of team members is an absolute must. The incumbent must be a self-starter with strong skills in team leadership, data analysis, and problem-solving. The ability to lead negotiations and manage communications with Gerdau’s suppliers is required. The position will require travel to complete job duties and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, mill personnel, and regional & central Procurement, 10 – 20%.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITES
:
- Maintain a current and thorough knowledge of appropriate local and regional markets and competitive practices.
- Serve as a liaison with the supplier community. They will establish and maintain effective supplier and market relationships to accomplish this goal. Responsibilities include settlement of discrepancies within management guidelines, maintaining standards, and coordinating ongoing supply chain activities within their business division scope. The incumbent also monitors and maintains continuity of supply and on time delivery, as well as the physical, safety-related and environmental aspects of materials purchased.
- Collaborate with other members of the procurement team to develop the purchasing process and to achieve best possible cost, quality, reliability, continuity and delivery relative to the Total Cost of Ownership. The incumbent will review and assess vendor capabilities and past performance. The incumbent will execute purchase orders and contracts in compliance with company policy and guidelines, and will assure vendor performance.
- Provide information to central management, plant management, and internal customers to help control costs and identify savings opportunities in the procurement of goods and services.
- Maintain a solid working knowledge of the Steel Making Process, Procurement Systems, and Operational Routines and Procedures. Will assist in the development and contribute to the achievement of process goals (KPI’s). This position is a critical element in the development and execution of the Annual Action Plan and the administration of established policies, procedures, and processes.
- Oversee the acquisition of capital equipment and ensure that services are carried out according to technical specifications and meeting internal customer needs. Additional responsibilities within CapEx acquisitions will include the effective management of milestone payments; monitoring and expediting equipment manufacturing and construction timelines, and monitoring of the contractual obligations between the supplier and Gerdau. The incumbent must have a working knowledge of foreign trade and INCOTERMS as well as contractual terms and conditions related to the purchase of indirect and direct materials and services.
- Resolve discrepancies primarily pertaining to specifications, weight settlement, order requirements, invoice payment and other disputes with suppliers and mill personnel, within established policies. Issues must be resolved professionally to maintain sound and effective relationships with Gerdau’s suppliers and internal customers.
- Maintain proficiency in procurement systems, with proficiency in company information systems and other business applications.
- Standardize and continuously improve the procurement process according to Gerdau’s Procurement Policies and Procedures. Incumbent will be accountable for individual, team and departmental attainment of established Key Performance Indicators directly related to the procurement process.

NATURE AND SCOPE:
Primary responsibility: Lead and/or contribute (to) successful execution of improvement projects and successful implementation/execution/sustainability of best EAF based steelmaking practices within the high-end SBQ (Special Bar Quality) context.
The Process Manager – SBQ Steelmaking is responsible for ensuring the stability, quality, and efficiency of processes, from melting through continuous casting.
Leading the reduction of operational variability, continuous improvement, and process stability, in alignment with Operational Excellence principles. Is responsible for the technical interface between Production, Quality, and Maintenance and for the technical development of teams, aiming to achieve the best results in cost, operational performance, and quality.
This position reports directly to the Melt Shop Superintendent.
MAIN AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:
1. Scrap Yard (SY): Provide technical support for and ensure proper execution on scrap mix optimization practices with the objective of minimizing total bloom cost.
2. Electric Arc Furnace (EAF): Provide technical support on EAF melting and refining practices aiming at consistent liquid steel delivery to the TLF (Twin Ladle Furnace) and reduction of EAF tap-to-tap time.
3. Twin Ladle Furnace (TLF): Provide technical support on implementation, execution, and sustainability of best secondary metallurgy practices within the high-end SBQ context. Minimization of TLF processing cycle times and release steel temperature optimization are current main challenges in the TLF area.
4. Vacuum Tank Degasser (VTD): Provide technical support on implementation, execution, and sustainability of best degassing practices within the high-end SBQ context. Release steel temperatures and Melt Shop production flow are the current main challenges in the VTD area.
5. Continuous Caster (CC): Provide technical support on implementation, execution, and sustainability of best bloom continuous casting practices within the high-end SBQ context. Caster utilization maximization and ladle non-free opens are the main current challenges in the CC area.
6. Refractory (REF): Provide technical support on implementation, execution, and sustainability of best EAF, Ladle and Tundish refractory practices within the SBQ context. Standardization and workforce maturity are the current main challenges in the REF area.
7. Melt Shop Utility Areas: required working knowledge of electrical power supply network, water systems, dedusting systems, industrial gas supply lines, bulk material handling, and others.
8. Provide technical advice to leaders on meeting targets aligned with strategic plans.
9. Provide technical advice to leaders on the identification, definition and acquisition of new technologies, as well as coordinate studies of technical and economic feasibility, aiming at the implementation and improvement of processes.
10. Contribute to the development of the knowledge and skills of the employees by supporting leaders in the development of Technical Training Plans, as well as to provide training when necessary.

The primary role of this position is to identify, develop, and implement opportunities for improvement in processes, products, and production within the Melt Shop. Responsibilities include the development of new standards and the refinement of existing standards, structures, systems, and equipment to ensure process efficiency and effectiveness.
The incumbent is responsible for driving continuous improvement through the application of methodologies, QIS improvement principles, and technical and engineering tools, working in close coordination with the appropriate Superintendent, Routine Facilitator, and operational staff within the assigned area of responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and coordinate continuous improvement initiatives within the Melt Shop.
• Develop, implement, and adjust operational standards, systems, and equipment.
• Ensure efficiency and effectiveness of all improvement efforts.
• Apply QIS, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies.

Qualifications

Basic Function
This job’s key function is to perform data analysis to provide insights and recommendations to support Gerdau’s marketing and sales processes and practices The role should also continually develop and manage action plans, often acting as a lead to coordinate projects and improvements. The Market Intelligence Analyst will regularly work with minimal supervision from the Pricing and Market Intelligence Manager on projects by developing and managing the action plans, analyzing research results, and presenting strategies and deploying them to help the organization meet its strategic goals.
Scope
:
The Market Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for analysis, recommendations, development and deployment of action plans and process improvements with little need of validation by the Pricing and Market Intelligence Manager. This role is accountable for data stewardship (automation and processes), Power BI (development and routine reporting), regression/statistical modeling and predictive capabilities (development and routine analysis) and work as lead coordinating projects. The Market Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for creating actionable insights, collaboration, predictive analysis, machine learning, data scrapping and recommending specific actions to drive business objectives.
The Market Intelligence Analyst must work to develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders to continually capture new market insights and to share them within the organization.

Will this position require travel?
The Data Analyst I may be required to travel approximately four times per year to visit customers, mills, seminars, trainings and/or attend trade shows and trade association meetings.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Market Intelligence Analyst will perform these duties with minimal management validation:
- Market Analysis:
- Regular analysis of statistics (shipments, market share, by country, region, imports, exports) for Gerdau’s product group(s) and substitutes. Output will be regular in frequency and format (clear graphic format that are readily understandable for intended audiences; internal and external depending on circumstance.)
- Execution and enhancement of established econometric models for market segment forecasting. Generation of new forecasting models.

Your Work:

Primary Responsibilities:

Job Summary:

BASIC FUNCTION:
This position is primarily responsible for the preparation and maintenance of the Company’s financial system, including preparing consolidated financial statements for monthly financial and managerial reporting, and providing financial information to the parent company (Gerdau, S.A.) on a timely basis. This position will also reconcile general ledger accounts, prepare audit schedules, and financial and managerial analysis. This position will be heavily involved with the month end close of the company. This position will have to research technical accounting topics when required by management.
The incumbent will be involved in several projects and would work without close supervision, somewhat independently toward achieving specific project goals.
NATURE AND SCOPE:
This position reports directly to the Corporate Accounting Manager.
This position works closely with the Operating Division Controllers and Accountants who manage the accounting function of the location operations and accounting personnel.
The qualifications for this position would include 3-5 years of progressive accounting responsibilities in a multi-divisional manufacturing organization preferably in a corporate environment; excellent communication skills; proficient in multi-currency accounting and foreign exchange reporting; adept with business office software and accounting systems. Must possess a bachelor’s or master’s Degree with major in accounting or finance. SAP experience and CPA license are preferred.
This position assists the Corporate Accounting Manager in the accounting functions of the Corporate Office. These functions include, but are not limited to, the month-end closing of ledgers for the organization, conducting controls testing for Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and internal audit, assisting with the preparation of external audit requests, general ledger account reconciliations, analysis and review, management reporting, journal entries, and reviews for the closing of month-end. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this position's main focus will be to inspect, repair, replace, install, adjust and maintain mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
Hourly Rate: $42.98/ hour plus COLA (cost of living allowance). Overtime available.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receives instructions covering the scheduled and emergency repairs, installation and inspection work to be done
- Inspects equipment for defects such as misalignment, wear, insufficient lubrication
- Finds the best way of making repairs to minimize interruption of production
- Advises when immediate shut down of equipment is necessary to minimize damage or when temporary continued operation would have no harmful effect
- Trouble shoots and repairs hydraulic and pneumatic systems and equipment
- Assembles or aligns gears, bearings and shafts involving the application of press, sliding and running fits
- Changes, sets up and adjusts equipment as required by current operating conditions
- Interprets drawings and sketches
- Dismantles, cleans repairs, replaces, installs, maintains, assembles, and lubricates mechanical equipment
- Performs routine layout work, fabrication or repair of steel structures and components
- Selects material in accordance with suitability for job and performs burning and mild steel welding
- Operates simple machine tools such as drill press, pipe threading machine and power saw
- Erects scaffolds and performs rigging as necessary
- Prepares for workorders, records activities in CMMS
Our Successful Candidate will have:
- A Red Seal Certification or Provincial Millwright Journeyman Certificate
- Experience in heavy industry
- Exposure to PM, Hydraulics, VF drives, PLC's, welding, crane work
- Experience preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work a rotating schedule (continental style schedule) 12 hour shifts as well an 8 hour day shift (Monday - Friday)
- Strong communication and work ethic, ability to work in a team and with other trades
- Basic computer experience

Job summary:
Reporting to the location's Operations Manager, your focus will be to lead operation in our steel manufacturing facility ensuring that production goals are achieved without compromising safety, quality or efficiency. Our ideal candidate will champion a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
Your primary duties and responsibilities will be to:
- Enforce all safety protocol, ensuring compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence
- Conduct regular safety audits, toolbox talks, risk assessments
- Supervise and coordinate plant operations, including production, maintenance and quality control
- Train and mentor team members on safe work practices and operational excellence
- Monitor production schedules and allocate resources effectively
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety and efficiency
Our ideal candidate will have the following education / experience:
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of supervisory experience in steel manufacturing or heavy industrial production
- A strong knowledge of steel production processes and safety standards along with having the proven ability to lead teams and foster a safety first culture
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and production management systems
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- A diploma or degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or a related field would be considered an asset

The Plant Utility employee is responsible for performing all rework functions as necessary with respect to NDT lines, Autoline, and/or the rework grinding tables. This position will report to the Rework Facilitator(s).
Operation of grinding equipment for surface conditioning and bar end regrinds. Operation of banding equipment. Calibration of hand tools and/or precision equipment as needed. Inspect product and documents to ensure that the product meets all product specifications requirements. Adherence to standards and procedures in regards to bar identification, bar accountability, and record keeping. Operate pendant and/or remote control overhead cranes.

Reporting to the Engineer Manager, you will be responsible for both capital project management and engineering design support of improvement and reliability inititatives in all areas of the Steel Mill. This position works closely with various production area staff and maintenance personnel in pursuit of increased safety for employees and contractors, increased quality of the final product, increased production capabilities, and cost efficiency improvements. This position includes a balance of long term strategic project planning and execution while also supporting the fast paced day to day operations in the maintennace and production areas. This position provides a dynamic work envionment with new challenges every day while also providing the satisfaction of a long term project seen from concept to completion.
Our successful candidate will have:
- A minimum of 5 years electrical engineering and project management experience in a related field; 10+ years experience preferred
- Solid technical communication skills, both verbal and written
- Electrical and automation (PLC) design experience
- Drafting (CAD) experience
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; self-initiative and ability to be self-led
- Previous work experience in the metals industry or an industrial environment will be considered an asset
Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering from an accredited university.
