BASIC FUNCTION:
The Cost Analyst II is responsible for supporting the Operations Management and Mill Controller through routine cost analysis, monthly forecasting and annual budgeting for the operational area(s).
Primary responsibilities include:
- Work closely with the Operations and Maintenance teams to achieve monthly budgets by providing daily forecasts/updates.
- Work with vendors to submit invoices, service entry sheets and allocations timely so that costs are recorded accurately in the correct month.

NATURE AND SCOPE:
The responsibilities of this position are to provide regular cost updates to the Melt Shop Superintendent and other Operational and Maintenance Managers. The Cost Analyst II will work closely with the Melt Shop team to make sure the area stays within their monthly budget. Additionally, the Cost Analyst II will manage and create the yearly budget (PEX) and provide the budget by cost center and cost element to the Mill Accounting department. The Cost Analyst II will also provide support to operations for SAP (or other ERP systems).
This position reports directly to the Mill Controller.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Responsible for daily cost updates and analysis as requested by Operations and Maintenance Managers.
- Work with vendors to submit invoices, service entry sheets and allocations timely so that costs are recognized in the correct month.
- Track Purchase Orders to ensure timely closing and accurate commitments.
- Review general ledger for costs that are incorrectly coded and work to resolve before month end or forward correcting journal entries to Mill Accounting.
- Provide month end accruals to the Mill Accounting department for goods received and work completed but not yet recognized in the accounting records.
- Analyzes variances of actual results from budget and forecast and assist in action plan preparation (FCA).
- Manage and create the yearly budget (PEX).
- Leads or assists with special projects as required.
The incumbent must perform the above-mentioned duties and responsibilities in accordance with all Federal, Provincial, and Local environmental regulations including the Occupational Health & Safety Act, the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, and the Environmental Protection Act. Employees must also report any situation which may have a detrimental impact to human health or the environment to their immediate supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:
The Cost Analyst should possess a bachelors degree or equivalent in accounting/finance. The incumbent should have at least 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, and be proficient with various types of computer software programs including Microsoft’s Office Suite (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and financial software.

- BS in Business Administration or Digital Innovation

Your Work
Digital Innovation
- Lead the development of the Procurement Digital Strategy through benchmarking, customer surveys, ideation events, and value stream mapping.
- Define the Procurement Digital Road Map that is aligned with business needs by seeking out emerging technologies that will improve service level, compliance, and productivity.
- Responsible for the project planning and implementation of all digital initiatives. Lead cross functional teams, engage internal stakeholders, and coordinate routine project meetings to ensure timely execution of initiatives.
- Effectively coordinate the change management process through effective communication, training plans, and post implementation support.
Risk Management
- Responsible for developing an enterprise-wide supplier risk management program (strategy, process, organization, and technology).
- Develop a supplier risk assessment framework including risk ratings and related processes that meet the needs of the business.
- Optimize and simplify the supplier due diligence process to ensure business is utilizing suppliers in a manner that reduces business and compliance risk.
- Identify process improvement initiatives through benchmarking and the use of technology to support the Supplier Risk Management Program and related activities.
- Establishes supplier risk management metrics/KPI’s that support the business and B-Corp Certification process.
- Create business continuity plans that will guide the Procurement organization in properly responding to threats and minimize risks.
Compliance
- Responsible for the Procurement compliance process that will effectively ensure that corporate and operating guidelines are being adhered to and any deviations are addressed in a timely manner.
- Support Gerdau Corporate Compliance team with annual compliance action plans.
- Implement compliance audit schedule, internal to Procurement, and take corrective actions on any deviations identified.
- Effectively coordinate the Contract Management process to validate that contracts comply with guidelines and record retention policies are adhered to.
- Develop a routine training program to ensure Procurement team and internal stakeholders are aware of compliance and code of ethics standards.
- Coordinate responses and action plans with Internal Audit and SOX Compliance teams.
- Ensure accuracy of requisition and purchase order approval levels in SAP.
- Implement an effective document control procedure to ensure that corporate and operating guidelines are managed properly.
Travel & Expense
- Responsible for the Travel & Expense compliance process that will effectively ensure that corporate policies are being adhered to and any deviations are being addressed in a timely manner.
- Routinely review Travel and Expense policies to ensure they are up to date with current market conditions and industry best practices.
- Ensure that proper and efficient expense audit processes and technologies are in place to ensure compliance.
- Lead the annual bid process for Hotels and Rental Cars. Also support the Global Procurement Team with Airline negotiations and relationship management.
- Make sure of the proper management of corporate fleet vehicles.

Scrap Inspector I - Roanoke

Job Summary:
Receive, process and visually inspect incoming scrap with the ability to determine the grade in accordance with established procedures and specifications.Detect and report faulty material, environmental hazards, and/or improper operation of plant equipment or machinery; refer questionable and unusual matters to proper supervision. Maintain work area and equipment in a clear and orderly fashion. Follow all safety regulations and practices.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Verify and document supplier’s contents by visually inspecting load against the weight ticket obtained from the supplier. Apply knowledge of the different types of scrap in order to accept, downgrade, or reject the load as needed. Responsible for documenting any non-conforming material.
2. Manually remove or signal crane operator to remove pieces of unwanted material. Attach the weight of any non-conforming material to each ticket to ensure proper deductions.
3. Identify any environmental or safety issues (e.g., gas tanks, enclosed cylinders, batteries, stored energy sources in the load, etc.) and ensure proper disposal.
4. Use portable scanner to process the supplier’s load, entering the contents of the load into the SAP computer system while ensuring the data is accurately entered for inventory control purposes.
5. Communicate with crane operators and direct traffic to the correct location to be unloaded while being mindful of traffic flow.
6. Responsible for ensuring all truck drivers follow company guidelines and procedures.
7. Use the hand held Radiation Detector as needed to inspect loads.
Additional Responsibilities:
1. Monitor all loads and material for potential fire hazards.
2. Follows all PPE requirements and safety rules/guidelines for all tasks being performed.
3. Maintains communication with coworkers through two-way radio and hand signals.
4. Work independently and as part of a self-directed team with limited supervision.
5. Maintains work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
6. Engagement in GBS tools and methodology.
7. Complete training requirements to perform other occupations as needed.
8. Assists maintenance and operations personnel as needed.
9. All other duties as assigned.

Your Work:

- Good working conditions in closed truck cab free from weather elements except in occasional unloading. Subject to some noise, vibration, and fumes, but none to the extent of being disagreeable.

What the Position Entails:

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Summary:
The Yard Operator has a variety of duties and a broad skill set that makes this position an important part of operational needs. The Yard Operator requires knowledge of scrap grading, or have the ability to learn. The Yard Operator will assist in several aspects of daily operational needs such as scrap inspection, ferrous and non-ferrous purchasing, mobile equipment operation, and performing general maintenance duties.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow all established Gerdau Safety, Environmental, and Routine procedures specific to the yard.
- Work involves a variety of tasks, simple through moderately complex in nature, requiring some care to ensure correct procedures are being followed.
- Ensure that all incoming scrap is scanned for radiation and that all material that fails the scan is quarantined and the appropriate personnel are notified.
- Operate the loader and/or the material handler to assist in loading and unloading scrap material, while following the quality standards of Gerdau and the customer.
- Ensure that all incoming scrap inspected against quality, and environmental standards and appropriate deductions and downgrades are applied. Communicate findings with the scale in a timely manner.
- Inspect and verify scrap for grade and quality. Identify deductions and downgrades.
- Ensure that all outbound materials meets safety and quality standards.
- Perform and document daily Routine Equipment Care (REC).
- Detect and report faulty material, environmental hazards, safety, and/or improper operation of plant equipment or machinery; refer questionable and unusual matters to proper supervision. Maintain work area and equipment in a clear and orderly fashion.
- Provide excellent customer service.

Locations with Rail:

Job Summary:
The Mobile Equipment Operator yard will operate mobile crane, magnet crane, mobile shear, and stationary shear to process scrap materials, load and unload scrap from trucks or railcars, and move scrap within the yard as required.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow all established Gerdau Safety, Environmental, and Routine procedures specific to the yard.
- Inspects mobile shear, magnet crane, and stationary shear daily and documents on checklists to ensure equipment is maintained and in proper working order.

G.Future: Gerdau’s Next Generation of Leaders
To invest in our junior talent, Gerdau proudly offers G.Future, a program designed to develop future leaders for the company. As members of this leadership program,

- Grow a set of managerial, interpersonal, analytical, and technical skills.
- Work with software such as AutoCad, AutoCAd Inventor, SAP, PLEX and excel.
Requirements

BASIC FUNCTION (Primary Purpose):
This jobs primary function is to build relationships with customers and help support the sale of Gerdau product(s) to our customers (i.e., revenue generation)

Your Purpose:
Perform all operations necessary in the preparation and use of slide gates and ladles involved in the Melt Shop functions of tapping, refining, pouring, and casting heats. Coordinate transportation of ladles in and out of the shop to ensure the proper amount is available. Follow prescribed methods, procedures, instructions, and sequence of operations.
Your Work:
- Work involves a complete range of duties that are highly repetitive and routine in nature to properly and effectively set up ladles to efficiently pour molten metal.
- Set up slide gates. Replace ladle nozzles, patch well block, porous plug, slide gate refractories, and stir pipe when necessary.
- Inspect slide gate refractories, mechanical components, and nozzles for defects and wear. Turn, replace, clean, and lubricate the slide gate as required.
- Inspect ladle lining and handling accessories, including ladle preheater. Check porous plugs with gas for flow and wear and make changes or repairs, patch block as needed.
- Inspects hydraulic fittings and hoses and replace them when needed.
- Operate ladle preheaters, check ladle temperatures, and keep ladles properly heated for furnace tapping.
- Direct ladle transfer movement and placement for furnace tapping.
- Add sand mixture to the ladle as needed to ensure the highest percentage possible of free opens.
- Use oxygen lance to melt out skulls from the ladle, clean out ladle nozzle bores and porous lug, and to lance open slide gates as required.
- Perform and document down day activities.
- Operate mobile equipment to lift and transport materials including loaders, makeup cart, brick-lift, and forklifts.
- Ensure daily preventative maintenance is performed on vehicles/mobile equipment to include fueling, cleaning, checking, and adding fluid as needed.

Your Purpose:

Your Work:
- Operate overhead cab crane working in close proximity and in cooperation with Stock Hitcher and checker loader to load and unload material or equipment from trucks, with or without side panels, rail cars, shuttles, receiving direction from ship checker loader or supervisor. Requires considerable care and diligence in operation of overhead cranes to ensure safety of others and the proper loading of material.
- Transfer stock length bars from shuttle cars into storage areas or railcars and trucks.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on crane prior to operation. Detect and report any instructions of equipment malfunction.
- Visually inspect or detect indications of slipping or shifting loads, incorrect hitching or faulty sling, faulty load placement, or faulty stacking.
- Locate bundled and tagged bars as identified on loading schedule or by checker loader. Designate specific vehicle for load. As loaded, weight is distributed between axles at tractor and trailer making certain that axle weight does not exceed current DOT limits.
- Duties involve prompt attention to hand signals to ensure safe and proper loading and unloading of material as well as using care in picking up load clearing obstacles, properly positioning and handling loads and manipulating levers to avoid excessive swinging.
- Perform other duties such as stock hitching, placing or storing dunnage, and operating hem saw as needed or directed.
- Use fork truck or crane to transfer dunnage storage areas into warehouse.

Your Purpose
You will be responsible for the casting side of the melt shop production area including the mold shop. This role has 4 direct reports, but will oversee approximately 24 hourly employees, 4 shift supervisors and contractors. The Casting Foreman will assist the Melt Shop Superintendent, directing and guiding shift supervisors to ensure a safe, well kept, and highly productive working environment. This position will report to the Melt Shop Superintendent.

Your Purpose:
You will be performing a limited variety of highly repetitive duties to load and secure steel rail spike products into railroad gondola cars, boxcars, or truck trailers for shipment to customer location. You will assist in servicing production lines and transfer finished products to temporary storage locations or dock loading platform.
Your Work:
- Operate a forklift to transfer finished products from the production line and secure with steel banding or shrink-wrap material to palletize product for shipment.
- Move palletized material to a temporary storage inspection station or loading dock.
- Disengage rail car mover lever to position boxcar or gondola into the loading position.
- Prepare a rail car or other specified vehicles to receive the product for shipment. Attach steel strapping material to boxcar interior walls in accordance with standard operating procedures and methods. Ship product palletized or loose as per customer order.
- Operate forklift, or handheld, push-button pendant crane, with or without magnet, to load specified product into the proper vehicle.
- Operate a forklift or pendant crane to unload incoming steel and machine shop supplies, pallets, empty kegs, and steel banding strips. Place supply items at the proper storage locations. Distribute pallets to the production line staging area.
- Check and verify steel heat and bundle numbers, weight, and carbon content as indicated on the shipping invoice; check off an item or indicate shortages and forward to office personnel for processing.
- Operate forklift to empty scrap buckets and return to the production line.
- As directed, assist on the production line as a relief person.

Job Summary:
Operates Scales to weigh incoming and outgoing vehicles for either delivery or pickup of scrap materials.
Will be dealing with customers on daily basis. Customer service and multitasking skills are highly desired.
Nature and Scope:
Directly reporting to the Division Manager, the Scale Operator must regularly communicates with other scale operators and inspectors to assist with vehicle yard traffic. Will work with other Gerdau staff as needed via, phone, email, in-person, and radio communications.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Enthusiastic greeting of customers and direct them to various locations in the facility
- Record weights and other supporting documentation on tickets. This includes accurate recording of load deductions (non-conforming material), re-pricing as directed by Buyers, printing and distributing scale tickets as required.
- Maintain daily records of all purchases and sales transactions
- Process scale payments including pay adjustments; contact the Buyer to discuss contracts details and any changes
- Issue cash payments for customers that require immediate payment.
- Must be able to manage difficult customer situations effectively and professionally.
- Answer main telephone line and redirect all calls accordingly.
- Constantly maintain radio contact with the appropriate yard personnel including and being aware of Emergency calls and proper handling of different types of situations.
- Maintain and implement safe work procedures while ensuring all guests have been informed of and adhere to proper PPE requirements.
- Manage the work area by keeping all paperwork processed and neatly filed as well as maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of scale house and workstations according to 5S Standards.
- Daily cash reconciliation; review ticket purchases and complete daily cash count
Skills and Abilities:
- This position must have basic MS Office computer skills and be able to communicate well with others.
- They must also have the ability accurately multitask at a fast pace positive manner.
- Must possess excellent telephone skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively when dealing with customers, carriers, and company drivers.
- High School Diploma or GED. Post-secondary education preferred.

Job Summary:
The laborer is an entry level position, reflecting employees with no previous knowledge or experience related to scrap metals and recycling. The laborer must have the ability to learn and a strong work ethic. The laborer will assist in several aspects of daily operations such as scrap inspection, sortation, and general yard maintenance as directed.
Under the safety standards of Gerdau the laborer will learn to operate mobile equipment and perform general maintenance duties on machinery. The laborer must have strong communication skills and use them at all times to ensure safety among co-workers, truck drivers, peddlers, and contractors.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow all of the established Gerdau safety, environmental, and routine procedures specific to the yard
- Operate the fork-lift while progressing towards loader operation and material handler operation to assist in the loading, off-loading, and sorting of scrap materials
- Inspect incoming scrap against quality and environmental standards with a progression towards grading and purchasing scrap material
- Apply deductions to non-conforming materials through effective communication with the scale house or yard inspector
- Perform and document daily Routine Equipment Care (REC)
- Detect and report faulty tools, equipment, environmental hazards, and safety hazards to a supervisor
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion
- Provide excellent customer service
- Promote and practice the core values of Gerdau
Locations with Rail:
- For Operations that have rail; shift full and empty cars, operate locomotive, activate switches, couple and uncouple cars, and set brakes or wheel blocks as requested, in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Ensure non-conforming objects have been removed from incoming scrap vehicles such as gas tanks (drained and removed), propane tanks, and batteries
- Ensure radioactive materials are removed from inbound/outbound scrap material and quarantined properly
- General house-keeping duties: sweep shop area and removal of garbage
- Assist in non-ferrous sorting and processing as directed by non-ferrous operator
- Assist co-workers in general operational duties that are essential to the yard in terms of safety, efficiency, and profitability
- Problem solving input and contributions as required

Overview
Reporting to the Maintenance General Foreman, the main focus of this position is to improve electrical equipment reliability, while optimizing maintenance costs.
The Electrical Maintenance Supervisor works with a team of Maintenance Leaders, including Planners, Reliability Engineers, and Electricians in order to meet the targets outlined above.
Techniques include the adherence to reliability practices such as preventive/predictive inspections, spare parts management, and optimized planning, scheduling and execution routines.
Responsibilities
Manage and prioritize Electrical Maintenance Work Order backlog in CMMS (SAP)
Establish work procedures for corrective and preventive/predictive maintenance repairs
Identify critical equipment spares, materials, and component needs
Support the preparation of work packages for maintenance activities during production interruptions and outages
Collaborate with Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering for equipment repairs and improvements
Support in the preparation of electrical designs in accordance with established codes and standards
Supervise maintenance trades and contractors during production down periods and outages for equipment repair and onsite activities
Identify and solve chronic electrical failures
Qualifications

BASIC FUNCTION:
Reliability Engineer I will provide technical coordination and support for implementing and sustaining Asset Reliability Processes (ARP) to improve safety, equipment reliability, and product quality at optimum efficiency and costs by:

DIMENSIONS:
This position is responsible for local ARP practice implementation and improvement. The Reliability Engineer I has no direct reports, but works with maintenance and operations on asset reliability processes. This position has direct responsibility for ARP projects with low risk.
NATURE AND SCOPE:
Reliability Engineer I is primarily responsible for increasing asset availability through the utilization of ARP reliability tools, methods, and practices. Activities require engineering and/or maintenance based experience in mechanical and/or electrical equipment, preferably those used in steel manufacturing processes and facilities. This position will participate in special projects and engineering activities to improve equipment reliability optimize maintenance costs and reduce equipment downtime. The Reliability Engineering I will participate in annual outage planning processes to minimize downtime and ensure all maintenance performance will achieve equipment reliability. Due to the nature of manufacturing operations the incumbent may be required to be on-call, and must be available for specific operations or projects. Some travel may be required for training and to support projects.
Qualifications for this position include a four-year college degree in Engineering or Material Science, combined with up to 2 years of industrial experience. The candidate must demonstrate knowledge of asset reliability technology and systems, with a working knowledge of heavy manufacturing. The incumbent should also possess a basic knowledge of engineering concepts, and techniques. The successful applicant must solve problems, demonstrate project management skills, and have a passion to lead change.
The Reliability Engineer I reports to the Reliability Engineer IV or Reliability Engineer V. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining the maintenance manuals, standard maintenance operating procedures, CMMS, equipment reliability databases, and other maintenance related software systems. The incumbent will organize and conduct training programs for the maintenance personnel regarding equipment testing and operation, new software, methodologies, and procedures. This position requires the ability to effectively communicate with associates at all levels within the organization.
The Reliability Engineer I will participate in routine safety and ARP activities including inspections, audits, visibility tours, and interact with employees and contractors. This job is responsible for analyzing equipment repair history, costs, and repetitive repairs to develop and implement proactive repair planning. The incumbent will conduct non-intrusive inspections. The use of Predictive Maintenance (PdM) techniques or other ARP tools to maximize equipment life and performance is required. This position is responsible for maintaining and updating documentation, such as equipment descriptions, job plans, spare parts, equipment lists, histories, manuals, flow charts, drawings, and specifications. The incumbent must manage the interests of all parties in creating and modifying work procedures and equipment, and will be responsible for staying abreast of current technology to recommend changes to effect continual asset reliability improvement. This position will also coach and mentor operations and maintenance personnel and contractors on ARP procedures. The incumbent will participate on special projects or conduct other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:
The Yard Operator has a variety of duties and a broad skill set that makes this position an important part of operational needs. The Yard Operator requires knowledge of scrap grading, or have the ability to learn. This is your purpose:
This position monitors and assists in controlling incoming and outgoing vehicles, shipments and containers through use scale and software systems. All activity must be accounted for and accurately documented on scale tickets, bills of lading, purchase orders and packing slips, etc.
Directly reporting to the Division Manager, the Scale Operator must regularly communicate with dispatch personnel and other scale operators to assist with company vehicle traffic and all incoming and outgoing yard traffic. This position interacts frequently with yard operations including but not limited to emergency contact for yard operations, material receiving personnel, internal and external drivers as well as management, sales and I.T. personnel.
What you will do:
- Enthusiastic greeting of customers and ascertain material grade including all necessary paperwork needed to safely direct all incoming loads to the proper locations throughout the facility.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all inbound and outbound scale transactions by weighing of all customers vehicles, carriers, and company vehicles on main scale. Record supplier, truck or car identification, description and grade of material, gross, tare and net weights, and discharge location of the load. This includes accurate recording of load deductions (non-conforming material), re-pricing as directed by Buyers, printing and distributing scale tickets as required.
- Maintain daily records of all purchases and sales transactions including proper assignment of purchase and sales order numbers to inbound and outbound material.
- Process scale payments including processing payment adjustments; contact the Buyer to adjust or add in contracts; remove temporary pricing, address and mail out payments as per customer request, fax scale tickets to customers as per their request.
- Create issue and submit cheques to the proper signing authority with proper back up documentation and distribute as requested.
- Issue cash payments for customers that require immediate payment.
- Must be able to manage difficult customer situations effectively and professionally.

Job Summary:
The Yard Operator has a variety of duties and a broad skill set that makes this position an important part of operational needs. The Yard Operator requires knowledge of scrap grading, or have the ability to learn. The Yard Operator will assist in several aspects of daily operational needs such as scrap inspection, ferrous and non-ferrous purchasing, mobile equipment operation, and performing general maintenance duties.
The Yard Operator will be expected to safely operate a material handling crane or loader in order to accomplish daily tasks. They must communicate regularly with the scale, supervisor, other coworkers, and customers about the quality of material and shipping requirements.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Follow all established Gerdau Safety, Environmental, and Routine procedures specific to the yard.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in:

Job Duties:
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, hydraulic systems, water systems, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions of mechanical equipment.

Basic Function:
Responsible for the supervision of assigned shift personnel engaged in hot metal forging operations and procedures, including equipment maintenance, forging, inspection, and packaging of all railroad spike products.
Nature and Scope:
Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, the incumbent is responsible for the supervision of an assigned shift of production personnel engaged in hot metal forging operations, including forging, inspecting, packing, and loading of railroad spike products, and maintenance of related equipment. Responsible for continuous operation of plant spike forging machines and related support equipment.
Confer with Plant Manager for special instructions, maintenance activities and other information. Work from verbal instructions to plan and organize work, in accordance with availability of material, personnel, and equipment. Work closely with Spike Machine Operators; checking work in process and reviewing inspector reports to insure adherence to product/customer order quality and quantity specifications. Anticipate or investigate production delays, inadequate work performance and take necessary corrective action with limits of established practice and policy.
Perform preventive maintenance check at beginning of shift with each machine operator; arrange for, assist or perform maintenance of machines and equipment as required. Maintain maintenance log and post maintenance activities in accordance with standard operating procedures, occasionally grind machine dies or headers and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper alignment and functioning of machine parts.
Assist and participate in the implementation, training, testing, and administration of division skill based pay system. Incumbent is responsible for insuring that all employees receive training materials and participate in job rotation assignments to provide employees with the skills and training necessary to progress upward through the skill based pay system. Communication skills and managerial support are critical to the success of this program.
Reassign and rotate personnel as skill based pay system and work load necessitates. Check and inspect work areas and related yard operations. Keep Plant Manager advised of production progress, maintenance activities, and other pertinent information. Make effective recommendations to meet changing requirements.
Direct, assist, advise, and train production and maintenance personnel, as necessary, to ensure proper performance of duties and to maintain flow of work through the plant. Enforce safety rules, eliminate hazards, maintain discipline; reporting violations to Plant Manager and administering discipline in accordance with established policy. Maintain production records, noting reasons for production delays, and production turn crew sheets with personnel job change notations, number of kegs produced and total machine production hours for use in determining payroll and incentive earnings. See that work areas and equipment are kept in clean and orderly fashion. Consult with Plant Manager on critical problems, unusual conditions and situations.

General Function:
Seeking experienced Engineer with extensive hands-on skills in implementing mechanical projects. Candidate will report to the Engineering Manager and will work closely with operational units in a steel mill environment. Position will include developing and managing capital expense projects (CAPEX) from inception to completion. The candidate will support process optimization efforts throughout the facility. Ideal candidate should have hands-on experience troubleshooting technical issues related to industrial and manufacturing equipment. This position requires a strong understanding of safety policies and standards that are applicable for industrial operations. Qualifications:

ENVIRONMENTAL SPECIALIST
GENERAL SUMMARY
Responsible for ensuring day to day environmental compliance at the Midlothian Mill. Interacting with Lawyers, consultants, venders, and neighbors. Conducting site compliance inspections.
SCOPE

Level of Supervision Exercised
- Advisory staff relationship having no direct supervisory responsibility.
- Exposure - significant loss prevention responsibility from remedial costs and potential fines.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Keep up to date with federal, state, and local environmental regulations by attending periodic training courses.
- Participate as directed in environmental compliance and remediation activities.
- Develop and implement Division’s Emergency Procedures.
- Maintain Division’s environmental files and reports.
- Conduct on-site inspections to ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and Company environmental regulations and guidelines.
- Maintain productive relationships with mill management and regulatory personnel.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILTIES
- This position is primarily responsible for providing guidance and assistance to division management with regards to pollution control, hazardous waste, and environmental issues and to assure on going compliance with federal, state, and local environmental rules and regulations.
- The Environmental Specialist collects samples and data required for various environmental projects, reports, permits and licenses. In addition, the incumbent is also responsible for the preparation, submission, and timely filing of all federal, state and local environmental reports.
- The incumbent will train employees in environmental policy, as well as adhere to Environmental Compliance Plans (SPCC, SWPP). In Cases where no training is in place, the incumbent will work to establish new training tools and presentations. In addition, the Environmental Specialist assists in the planning of new or updated emissions control equipment or mill project modifications to include review of new facilities and equipment to assure compliance with all government environmental and safety rules and regulations.
- The Environment Specialist obtains and provides direction, guidance, and assistance as required to assure the most efficient and effective use of resources required for remediation activities and for short- and long-term environmental compliance in line with company policy and under the general direction of the Mill.
- Environmental Manager. Due to close contact with operating management and personnel, and federal, state, and local regulatory agencies, the position requires the ability to effectively communicate with a variety of personalities and interests.
- The Environmental Specialist will work to establish long-term waste disposal solutions which meet the needs of mill operations. The Environmental Specialist is responsible for monitoring environmental activities in the mill and reporting deficiencies and/or non-compliance.
QUALIFICATIONS

Job Summary:
Asset Reliability Process (ARP) Planner will provide coordination, direction and support for implementing and sustaining Asset Reliability Processes (ARP) to improve safety, equipment reliability, and product quality at optimum efficiency and costs by:

The ARP Planner coordinates the work execution on down-days and outage to ensure planned work complinance and quality. Nature and Scope
:
This position is primarily responsible for planning and coordinating proactive maintenance activities on equipment, with involvement in projects and maintenance activities that will improve the reliability of the equipment. The ARP Planner will develop job plans for all planned maintenance, predictive and preventive technologies, in conjunction with reliability technicians, reliability engineers, mill operations, maintenance personnel and suppliers.
The incumbent will provide technical assistance and maintenance expertise to assigned location(s). This position will maximize the equipment reliability using a systematic approach to plan and schedule maintenance work. The ARP Planner will facilitate weekly planning, down-days, and outage meetings. Due to the nature of manufacturing operations, the incumbent is required to work on regularly scheduled shutdowns and must be available for specific operations or projects. Some travel may be required for training to support projects.
Qualifications for this position include a two-year degree -OR- advanced technical training with at least 5 years experience with a high level of mastery discipline. The incumbent must have a mastery level knowledge of heavy manufacturing or other related maintenance engineering activities. The successful candidate will possess an extensive working knowledge of maintenance concepts and techniques with demonstrated expertise in asset reliability technology and systems. The ARP Planner will be responsible for staying abreast of current technology and recommending changes to effect continual improvement of asset reliability and manufacturing processes.
The ARP Planner reports to a Reliability Engineer IV or Reliability Engineer V. The incumbent will work closely with operations and maintenance departments. This position will be responsible for building detailed job plans, ordering parts and services for planned work, preparing work packages, managing the backlog for planned work, and ensuring proper data management. This position is responsible for any modification to the preventive and predictive maintenance programs that might reduce maintenance cost and downtime. The ARP Planner must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, have the ability to work independently or in a team environment, perform and prioritize a variety of tasks with minimal supervision, and have a broad knowledge of computer software applications.
An ARP Planner will participate and assist with training programs for the maintenance and operations personnel regarding equipment care, new operating equipment, software, methodologies, and procedures. Due to close contact with operations, maintenance, engineering, and outside contractors and vendors, this position requires the ability to effectively communicate with associates at all levels outside and within the organization. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic controls and systems, using required knowledge and understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, fluidic, and electrical systems/components, as well as how they operate.

- Balance loads and wire complex circuits.
- Work with related diagnostic equipment including digital voltmeter, paper recorder, multi-volt meter, oscilloscope, and other electronic tools and equipment.
